Im currently buying a tial wastegate and a bov. The only thing im not sure about is what spring I should buy for each. I'm currently only on a 14b and I just bought a 50 trim from precision so, I'm kind of at a lost on what springs i should buy for each. Thanks for any information or help you guys have to give.

for the tial question it all depends on how much boost you wanna run on the 50trim when just running off the wastegate (fixed boost level) each spring is rated for a certain boost level. and the bov, what bov did u get, most are adjustable depending on the brand, let us know which one your purchasing

The Bov is a tial and I'm only gonna be going 20psi at the most for this turbo but for daily i want it in the range of 12-14psi, But yeah the bov is a tial and i think it comes with a 7psi spring right away and then they have an 11 and 9 also, that i can buy but once again, I just wasnt really sure. Thanks again for the help.

i guess the higher number on the bov spring is for high boost applications if your only planning to run 20, the lower or middle one should be okay, u dont want a spring thats too tight that it doesnt blow off under lower boost, im not too familiar with tials bov spring ratings but im sure on their site it probably says what boost level each spring should be used for

If you want to run 14.50 psi on the wastegate, pick up a Big Blue spring (1 bar). You can always add more small springs to achieve a max boost of 23.20 without a boost controller. I have the 38mm with 21.75 worth of springs and it holds rock steady in every gear at that boost level (well 21 actually).

I don't have a TiAL BOV so I can't make any recommendations on proper springs for it. It might be best to discuss these with the dealer you're purchasing them from and follow their recommendation.

Good luck!

Andy

The spring choice for your Tial BOV is based on how much vacume your car pulls at idle.

For your wastgate I would just go with the big blue one like Andy suggested. That will allow you to run as .little as 14.5 Psi up to 29 Psi (with a boost controller) before you will need to add a smaller supporting spring.
