Tial qr or greddy fv

Personally, I would rather go with the Tial. It is a proven BOV. If you do go with the Tial, then you will need to know what your vacuum is at idle and make sure you have the correct spring installed in the Tial. If you don't know how to take it apart there are videos on Youtube that show you.

Hey Biddy, just a word of advice: If you already bought the items but you don't even know which one to use then it means you are just buying stuff you think is a good deal. I'm telling you from experience that you are going to waste a lot money doing that. It sounds like that may have happened with your turbo too. Don't buy anything unless you know for sure it's something you want and will need right now. With that being said, just go Tial and you will never go wrong. ;)

well I was a little bummed about the turbo only supporting 460hp but the bovs came as a package deal it was both or none so I really couldn't pick 1 or the other. The piping kit I have is already flanged for the greddy but having new pipes made is no big deal if the tial will perform better I'll just get some new pipes. Once I finish this project I'm gonna throw my 7 bolt into something else for fun so extra parts don't bother me much

I've slowly realized that my hp goals were a little too high also being that I'm fwd and 5 speed the turbo I got is about all the useable power I'll be able to handle seems like anymore then that and I'm just gonna be burning through tires. I'm planning on keeping this a show car/ street car so I'm very happy with my purchase now it's polished so it's going to look very good under my hood and it will save me a good amount on accessories because it is a direct bolt on turbo

Yeah that's kind of what I'm starting to see Im kind of crazy when it comes to buying parts I'm kind of a scatter brain person in the back of my mind I figure I'll buy a gsx by the time my engine is done and swap the motor in it and throw its motor in the fwd I had a bad ass eclipse with a evo iii 16g like 7 years ago built the whole motor also but traded her for a wrx when I had my daughter missed it ever since LOL

out of them i say the FV because its now a floating valve it can handle better response from lower boost levels and its not needing 2 lines now to run! its a better design overall and can recirc which depending on your situation you must do with the stock MAF!

I nearly bought the FV but opted for a HKS instead because its just that bit better myself, Tial is proven but i prefer the Greddy over Tial personally

I did this with my turbo. Was looking for a 600hp turbo and before I researched different exhaust housings and how much they affected the power output I got a pte6165 with a .63, needless to say this 670hp rated turbo won't even come close to that. My new goal is 550 on e85 flex, and even Thats a major stretch.. The guy selling it said "it's a 600hp turbo for sure" before I even told him that was my goal so I was like ah perfecttt.. Didnt even ask about the housing because I didn't know at the time..

RESEARCH RESEARCH RESEARCH.

Also I bought a Greddy FV brand new. before I knew it wasn't capable of supporting my goals (in my defense this was when I had lower goals).. I've since sold it for half the price I bought it for and it never even saw air through it once, and ended up going old school tial bv50..

It looks like, with the parts you are holding in your hands in those pictures, the TiAl would be easier to fab into place and it would allow you to recirc without ordering extra parts. The caution I'd throw in there before jumping on the TiAl is to make sure it meets other functional requirements for a pressure relief valve:

-Doesn't open prematurely
-Doesn't flutter during pressure relief event and create unstable intake airflow pressure
-Integrates simply and easily with whatever is already in the car
-Fits in the space available

Good luck.
