The problem with the group buy is it doesn't end till may 25th. My dyno tune is scheduled for the 28th. I really want to put both on for the tune. Im already uping the injectors to 1120cc but the stock bov cant handle the power im gonna be having. And the group buy won't have it to me in time. Are tials really that good? I know they sound good but by design are they that much better?

Everyone big name high hp guy one here uses a tial for the most part, so ya id say they are that good!! The tial just performs really well and works really good for higher boost systems. I also have a hks ssqv and love that one to. The hks and tial have the same pull type system in play which I prefer over the push type like greddy or stock 1g, just seems to work better if you ask me.

Not just high HP guys either.

My car is pretty basic but I got a great deal on a Tial and since I'm SD, no need to recirculate.

There's a reason everyone goes with Tial, they are great quality and a great product.

Brand new

Not recirculating isn't a problem if I get it tuned that way with dsm link correct?

I don't think you can tune out the issues from running a vented BOV with the stock MAF even with Link. However, my tuning experience lies in Speed Density, not MAF.
However, for the small cost of the SD conversion, I'd switch over and chuck the factory MAF away.

$240 at extremepsi, there's one in the classifieds for $180! If your on the stock maf you need to recirc it no real way around it. You can try and tune around it all you want but it will never really be right. The ecu expects to see that air so the only way to change that is running speed density or changing to a gm maf in blow thru mode.

You will need to make room for it at your ic piping by the TB and buy the proper couplers to have it installed. Just search for some pics on here of others setups with a gm maf there are tons, to help give you an idea. Not hard at all and a very common mod. Unless you have ecmlink you will need a maf translater to use it on your car and have it work properly, then it just takes some time to dial it in.

Ecmlink is getting installed on the 28th of may. I need a new bov ### ill be running 20-22 psi. Trying to find the best way to do it really haha

Just order the gm maf cable when you get ecmlink. Or screw all that and get setup to run speed density! 20psi is nothing when tuned right. Get a hks or tial and that will probably be the last bov you ever need, the tial will take you further than the hks but thats getting into a lot of air movement LOL. A 1g bov slightly crushed or dodge modded will hold just fine for you at 20-22psi!

Would speed density be ok to run before I get the ecu link? And ill probably just get a tial because it leaves a lot of room for future work. How much power does speed density and ecm link give with some decent mods. (My mod list is pretty much up to date)

You need ecmlink or something to tune or monitor speed density or its kinda pointless bro! Just installing a iat and map sensor won't do much if you have no way to monitor them! And it's not that ecmlink and running speed density will give you more power. Its a way to tune your car to maximize your setup and run more efficiently. You will make more power with a good tune. But simple installing these things isn't going to magically boost your car up. I suggest you take some time and read and learn first all you can about ecmlink and running speed density. This will help you get a understanding of what your doing and what's going on, which is really important bro!! start [ECMTuning - wiki] honestly if I was you, I would get a tial and recirc fitting, and ecmlink. And run with the stock maf while you learn to tune your car. Then once you have a grasp on it switch to speed density and tune the car with that. Gotta learn to box before you jump in the ring!! ;)

Im not doing the tune I'm having a shop do it on a dyno. I don't mess with tuning myself I do more mechanical work. I was asking if its ok so I could install it before I went up there that day for the tune or wait till I got there to have them do it also. Not really a noob just not a tuner and I know it LOL. I was mostly wondering what I should expect to see after the fact performance wise.

Btw I'm a mechanic so I do have an idea what I'm doing just not on turbo set-ups. Most morons I get in my shop have trucks and muscle cars and want a muffler on to sound cooler or some retarded crap haha I get what you mean but i refuse to touch the actual tuning myself. Ill monitor it to make sure its all running right but that's it really.

You can also run speed density without ECMLink, despite what the good doctor is stating "bro".

It'll survive. We've all vented on a stock MAF at one point or another, right or wrong. (psst, it's wrong)
