Theres no lines or cable or anything stuck in the throttle but it only gets stuck in WOT. help??

Do you have a turbo timer?

This happened to me a couple times scared the hell out of me..Turned out it was my turbo timer..I knows that sounds weird but as soon as I took it out, it stopped happening..

Ok, explain to me how a purely electrical part can influence a purely mechanical part.

That I cannot explain at all..It was messed up..I had it go WOT on me a couple times, and the car would not shut off either..

I also happend to my in law when He was taking it off the trailer..When I got home..I decided to take out the TT..And I have never had a problem since..So like I said I cannot explain it, but it did happen..And I havn't changed anything around the throttle area at all, or the pedal..I just simply removed the TT, and not a problem like that sense..It was a
Greddy TT too..Which you would think it would not go bad on you..

I wonder If I reinstalled it, would do the same thing..But I do not want it to do that ever again..

That can't cause the Throttle to get stuck at wot.
It definitely was a (COINCIDENCE).
If it was an electrical problem, Then I could off give credit to it, But That Electrical has nothing to do with the Mechanical issue .

Check your Pedal (Inside the Car), Probably there is something that is rubbing your Pedal.
Check for something in between the Pedals, Make sure your Pedal is moving Freely.

I had the same thing happen with my car when I was driving it home right after I bought it. The past owner replaced the throttle body with a 1g and he thought he had it fixed. It did this 3 times within 2 days. Turned out to be the fgreddy Turbo timer, I've drove the car ever since without an issue. If you look on the forum you will find like 4 or 5 other people that had the same issue. SO hopefully you have a greddy TT, for an easy fix.

No shit you had the same problem I did with the same brand TT..Well that can't be a coincidence, then..Is there a fix besides removing the TT like I did??

I don't use cruise control..I like to feel the pedal under my foot, or big toe when I wearing sandals..

Thanks guys. Ill check after school to see if this stuff works. Ill keep everyone informed.

When the throttle gets stuck the pedal moves freely.

It's NOT the Turbo Timer, something is causing either your throttle cable to bind, or the butterfly valve in the TB to get wedged open, check your cable for smooth easy operation, clean the TB as suggested, and adjust your throttle cable so it isn't pulling the butterfly valve open so hard, its possibly getting wedged from being opened too far.

is it possible for the 2 guys that removed their timers and it corrected the porblem that one of the timer's wires was getting looped over the top of your throttle pedle and holding it open and when you removed the timer you also without knowing it removed the obstruction?

So your turbo timer connects to your steering wheel harness and literally just bypasses the ignition switch when you turn it off for a few seconds or minutes.

Your throttle is controlled only by a non-electrical cable system.

So even if your turbo timer messed up in the most horrible of ways, please explain to us how this little inanimate box managed to cross the barriers of electronics, hop off it's mounting spot and pressed your pedal so you were at WOT, because this is more logical than any explanation you could have given electrically speaking. Unless of course you believe that the ISC has a range so large it can put the car into WOT?

HAHA, I have no clue how it worked but it did.

First I checked my throttle cable since the previous owner just replaced it. Then I checked the throttle body to make sure it was functioning and not sticking open or anything, the previous owner changed it to(I wonder why?not). And then I found a thread where some people said a greddy TT was causing their issue. By this time it had WOT 3 times within one week. I took the TT off(it was just stripped wires crossed on each other and taped,YUCK)and now I DD the car, Its been a little over 3 months without the problem ever occuring again.

http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/newbie-forum/396279-throttle-always-redline.html Heres the thread

Come to find out I bought "GrattinoDSM"s car and his issue was not resolved. I bought my car in Owosso, MI and the kid's name was David Grattin.

Unless somehow your turbo timer was manipulating your cruise control to create a WOT situation, you didn't fix the problem, it just hasn't happened again yet.

"UPDATE" Well when im WOT the throttle gets stuck. The pedal moves freely and it happend twice again. I need help im a big noob. hah

What exactly is a TB butterfly?

Butter Fly is Called, the Round (Circle) Plate that is inside the Throttle Body.

sweet im not necro-ing this post.......

I was taking my family to the grocery store today and the exact same thing happened to me.....

I got down under my steering wheel and played with the pedal a little, theres no obstructions on the pedal, I can move the pedal in and out, the problem is the cable is coming OUT, but not pulling itself back in.......

How can i trouble shoot this? where is the other end of the cable in the engine bay located? im not very engine savy, but this is my daily driver. im grade A $@#(ed right now.

eh, additionally, my problem is i push down on the accelerator, but when i take pressure off, the pedal comes back to normal position, but whatever is supposed to pull the wire back into the engine bay, isnt......
