throttle linkage

having a stupid problem I have a 99 gsx i just put a engine in i went to hook up my throttle linkage and when i do the throttle is open about a quarter of the way the ajustment bolts dont do anything Ive checked play in the pedal checked all the linkage for the cruise control Im stumped The throttle should be closed all the way with the likage attached right?

yes, it should be fully closed.

did you route the cable properly? did you have to open the throttle all the way to attach the cable? got a pic?

yes the engine came out and went back in all likage is just how it came off im at work now but ill post a few pics when i get home thanks

and yes i did have to rotate the throttle to fully open to attach the cable

Got it fixed just out of adjustment with cruise control linkage

srry been busy trying to get this car on the road after some kid who didnt know what they were doing really screwed stuff up i posted another thread about hard starting if you have any info
