throttle has a hesitation...

hey guys, i just got done swapping a jdm into my 93 nt eclipse, and i must say other than the water pump going when we got the new one in, it went great. the engine runs awesome, i couldnt be happier. however, the throttle seems to have a bit of hesitation. its still in the garage on jack stands, but when i hit punch the gas it kind of bogs down for a split second then the throttle kicks in and revs the engine up. any ideas? again its only for a split second...i was thinking maybe running injector cleaner through it, think that would help? if anyone has any ideas let me know b/c id like to try and fix that...thanks guys

I put a 6-bolt motor in my 93 and i have the same problem. Somebody help.

I'm having the same problem with my turbo motor. It hesitates and slowly accelerates until about 1500rpm, then it gets up and goes. No idea why. Anyone have any ideas what this could be?

check your basic stuff. Spark plugs and wires. Injectors. Alot of times it is caused by an ignition problem. Try those things and get back to me

Injectors are brand new with less than 2000 miles on them. Wires are also brand new, but I swapped them with another set and am having the same problem. Plugs I change every 500 miles or so.

ive been running injector cleaner for the last 2-3 tanks and am not really noticing any difference...its only at idle for me when i punch it it bogs down for a split second...if im cruisin and punch it, no problem she revs right up...iono what the deal is...i got brand new iridium plugs with bosch wires in this jdm i just swapped into my car. we'll see if it gets any better here in the near future...if not, i still have my old injectors maybe ill try them.

well, i ran some lucas fuel system cleaner i picked up at pep boys through...within like 70 miles my hesitation was gone!! no more boggin down, punch it and she revs! woohoo. good luck to all who have the same probs...run some cleaner through and make sure ur injectors etc are clean
