Alright, so yet another issue I'm having with my car. I'm now just under 3000 miles into my rebuild, car seemed to be running fine until two days ago. The issue I'm having is strange. Starts up, runs and drives fine, doesn't overheat, good oil pressure, Idle afr is 14.7, the problem happens if i do a slight pull and get into boost. Feels fine in boost, pulls hard and smooth, but once i go back to cruising it runs extremely rich. The Wideband will peg 10.0 only at 5% throttle, even going down a hill completely out of boost, and the car will feel like its misfiring or running on 3 cylinders. If i give it any more throttle, say 15% or more it will smooth out and cruise/pull fine, but once i try to give it very little throttle again it will run rough, and it will stall VERY easily.

Now the crazy part is, I can drive the car around for hours on end without doing a pull or boosting, and it will run fine. It won't peg rich under light throttle, it won't run rough, it will feel completely normal. But as soon as i do a pull, even a small one, it will go right back to the above symptoms. Today i noticed that it went away rather quickly by just turning off the car for about 3 minutes. I was going to the atm this morning and upon going up a big hill i got on it a little bit, and the car started to act up. I parked at the atm, shut off the car, got my money out, and when i started the car and left, it was back to normal again. Little confused.:ohdamn:
BTW I'm running 100% fuel system

Well, if you had link you could tell if you were back in closed loop. Sounds almost like its not transitioning back to closed. Another possibility is the TPS. Also, after a pull, when you start cruising again, does it feel at all like a cylinder is out? Lack of spark in one cylinder would cause an extremely rich o2 reading. Just tossin ideas out

Well that's the weird thing, after i do a pull it seems to run fine unless I'm BARELY on the throttle in which case it will run 10.0. But as far as AFR's go they go from 14.5 cruising before a pull, to 11-12.5 after a pull. Spark plugs have 1000 miles on them BPR7ES NGK plugs, wires have about 4000 miles on them (Magstar 9mm wires). Coolant temp sensor is new as well with 1k miles on it

My thought so far are, map sensor, maf sensor, coilpacks, or TPS. But it's just strange how it will run fine if i don't pull.

And yes when I'm barely on the throttle and it's pegging 10.0, it feels like its sporadically firing on 3 cyl.

Well, we dont have MAP sensors stock, we have an MDP sensor but i dont believe it can effect anything. Emissions related.(could be wrong) Youre coil pack could be going out but it def sounds more like TPS to me.
I suppose the lower hz readings could be flaky and the ecu is getting a bad maf signal. At cruise you should be roughly around 50 to 100khz. Buuuuut, you cant log so that wont help.

Alrighty, so i just went for another drive. Seems to clear up if i just drive it for a few minutes after i do a pull as well. And like i said before, it runs fine unless i'm slightly on the throttle after a pull. I would think if the TPS was bad it would be having this problem all the time. I'm starting to think its coil pack related. Reason being is... I've always had a fuel cut type issue with this car even on the stock t25 turbo on 12si. I'm wondering if the whole time it's just been spark plug blow out. Plugs are new like i said before and gapped at .028. Maybe my coilpacks have just been on the way out for a while now, or my ignition module next to the coilpacks?? Problem is still un-resolved so input is still welcome.

Alright another wild guess. I know running un-circulated is bad without a maft or speed density setup, yet with my HKS i wasn't able to set it up for it after i did my rebuild, and installed the new intercooler setup. I figured i'd have my link and maft setup soon enough, but that's not the case yet. I'm wondering if possibly after boosting, that RICH spike i get from being un-circulated is causing my plugs to start fouling easier. And even though they only have 1500 miles on them they are taking longer and longer to burn off all that extra fuel in between shifts, because they are being drowned. Sound like a possibility?
