I found a lot of topic's while searching about this, but not any quite like mine.

Yesterday as I was getting on the highway, not hard or anything at all, 3rd gear maybe 2500 rpm or so and the car just seemed to not want to accelerate, so I gave it more gas and it seemed like it wanted to slow down slightly the more gas I gave it. It felt like the as I gave it more gas it would slightly stumble and slow down.

One thing to mention the on ramp was a pretty steep incline.

As I got on the highway I was only up to 40mph, I turned on my flashers and drove at 40mph for awhile cause it seemed to do ok at that speed. I shifted to 4th and slowly give it more gas and it started to gain speed slowly and I got home crusing about 5 more miles @ 60mph.

As I turned into my street everything acted normal, athough I didn't accelerate very hard at all.

I've got BPR6ES gaped at .30

My first thought is plug wires, but after reading other posts I've read things that it could be the TPS, or phantom knock.

Any ideas on what I could check.

Thanks.

First of all, those plugs should be gaped at .028

It sounds like what my Stealth did when the 02 sensor went out. I would check the following things

1 : Fuel Filter
2 : Fuel Pump
3 : 02 sensor
4 : Plugs
5 : Plug Wires
6 : Compression Test
7 : Fuel pressure Regulator
8 : Boost Leaks
9 : ECU
10 : Leakdown

Most likely in that order.

Thanks for the response.

My car is pretty much just for work and back now and I almost never get on it. So im not really worried about the .002 differance in gap.

Checked the plugs yesterday and 3 were gapped at .030 but #2 was .050! unknown how that happened cause I changed them less than a year ago.

I'd figure that if it were the o2 sensor it would've throw a CEL, but maybe not.

It doesn't always throw a CEL, trust me on that. As for the spark plug change rate, I change mine about every 3 months, but I also run my vehicles from time to time. Spark plugs are cheap and numerous, so go ahead and change those out and see how it effects the car. If nothing else, pull your 02 sensor and check it out. You may want to just go ahead and change it to be sure, especially if you don't know how old it is.
