I dont know what to do. I have rebuilt the throttle body twice now with the throttle body seals from machv and I still cant get the shaft to seal around the TPS. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get that to seal. I have greased it and what not but it sounds like air is actually sucking in with the car running, and when I put my finger down by the tps I can hear the air change pitch that is coming out there so I know that is were it is leaking. Is there supposed to be air there or what, because there is two slots in the throttle body under the tps. I dont know what else to do though, my idle is messed up now because of the leak, I reset my tps with a voltmeter and checked my ISC and everything is right. Sometimes my car will idle at 800rpms but then it will go up and idle at 2000 rpms when i am driving it. Im guessing that is due to the leak, who knows. My next step is just buying a used TB from someone else that doesnt leak because I have had this one on and off four times and am starting to get a little irritated.

Thanks,
Jeremy Hoefer

If you put new seals in the TB, it shouldn't be leaking enough for you to hear it. Something is wrong. Did you put the seals in the right orientation? They are not the same on each side, and have to be put in with the correct side facing out.

Sorry, but I forget what side of the seal that is. Just something to look into, if you haven't already. I'm sure someone here can provide more detail on which side of the seal should be facing out.

Does the TB leak under boost also? or just vacuum at idle?

There's a possiblity that the TB could be damaged or the shaft or area around the seals is out of round and not sealing. I'd suggest getting a new one, don't keep torturing yourself with that one. But just as a quick check, did you install the seals facing correctly? With the hollow side facing in? When you're in boost the air pressure fills that cavity and forces the seal to expand and seal better, this is very important to getting them to seal. However if you are leaking vacuum at idle I would think there's a bigger problem with the TB.
