I did a boost leak test and my throttle body shaft seal is leaking bad. The block/head/intake are 90 model so i assume the t-body is a 90. I can't find seals for the 90, is there a way to tell for sure the t-body is a 90 and if so where can i get new seals?

I bought mine from Kaman Industries at Kaman Industrial Technologies You may find threads saying just use o-rings, but these are o-ring with shell casings, which makes them in my mind better. The part numbers are CR-3030 and CR 3930. There are 2 different sizes, which is one way to identify the 90 TB.

If you do some looking around, you'll find different ways to identify 90 TB's really quick from later models.

TB Shaft Seals VFAQ

Throttle Body O-Ring

Both show how to replace the seals and give places you can get replacement o-rings. The first one is probably the better way to go rather than go through sears or another hardware store. As far as Identifying between the 90 and 91+, I am not sure how to differentiate between them.

did a search and turned up this thread

If your TB has all 4 vacuum nipples on top its a 91-94, otherwise it has 2 on top and 2 on side. Thats a 90.

Thanks for the help guys, but my throttle body had 3 nipples on top and none on the side. I believe mine is not a 90 so i'm gonna order the seals for 91-99.

That's the one i have on the car. Does it take the same seals as the 91-99 turbo ones?

that o-ring article i would consider obsolete. real shaft seals are easy as hell to get now. a bunch of vendors on the board sell them.
