In need of some experienced opinions of a throttle body to run. I currently have an s90 and it leaks bad around the shaft and has always been a pita. I'm looking for another option to run and can support 700awhp and not be so difficult to seal up. I have a jmf race intake, i'm not completely opposed to changing to a jmf drag intake and using a mustang throttle body if that's a better solution. Hope someone can chime in and help.

No. I'm on a N/T throttle body, which is only ~60mm.

The Q45 is a decent alternative because you can find them in both 80mm and 90mm versions IIRC. And they are fairly cheap if you find them used.

There's also the BBK TB, but it's prone to blowing the shaft seals from what I've read.

I'm not terribly worried about the price i just want something to hold 40psi and without huge leaks and also doesn't squeal at idle like my s-90 does. The s-90 i have currently won't hold any pressure on a blt and can't get it to charge over 20psi with my compressor supplying 100 psi. This limits my boost from the turbo to around 30 with it turned all the way up.

There is a write up on the DSMLink forums of one guy rebuilding the S90 throttlebody to hold higher boost. Basically just newer seals, and fixing the whistling as well by grinding down the bolts on the shaft.

Worth looking into if you have Link and are on the forums.

i bought a seals from a member here and they weren't the right shaft size. I will hop over there and see if i can find what your talking about.
