I will have a bunch to add to this shortly but for now the head gasket was blown upon purchase and i'm removing it to rebuild it.
I've already purchased a ton of parts for the heads and i'm still deciding on cam choices. currently the heads will be installed with the parts listed in the photo

So i finished removing the head and found the Cylinder bore to be surface rusted. not unexpected. I'll definitely build the bottom end eventually but for now i'm going to send the head to my machine shop on Friday with the parts i got from MAP.
In the picture you can see on the gasket where it was leaking out the oil. There was exhaust in the coolant. I only need the bottom end to hold together for registration. I also found plenty of needs replaced items. including the oil pan which was bent.
