hey some help here guys it says h1c but then it says hx35 but he is refuring to the exit of the turbo? im just not sure what this jackass is trying to say

Looks like an Hx35 to me...I thought the h1c was smaller with a different compressor.

It's a H1C. Quite a gem, too....someone apparently machined the compressor cover down so it no longer has a nice 4" inlet. You can see where the webbing used to be.

Now that you have your answer, you can delete this thread and the other one you created identical to it in the Noob forum because after 30 days the eBay link won't work anyway so anyone who stumbles upon this thread years from now will not be lost as to what you're asking.

I think the turbo is good, but someone got a hold of it and made modifications to it. If he was helpful, he would have explained that to you, realizing, that if you posted a question asking about it, you probably didn't know much about it, rather than being a smartass about it. Aren't the forum posting rules explicit in saying if you aren't going to help than don't post? The guy obviously doesn't know about the turbo, and instead of explaining to him why or why not it was good or bad, you gave him a completely sarcastic answer, which he still is unsure of. IF YOU aren't going to post helpful information, then don't bother posting.

It had the webbing. So it's 50-trim flow or bigger. The h1c with webbing flows as much as a 50-trim based on holset and other sources. I've seen as much flow as well. The wh1c flows 52lb/min since it has basically the same compressor wheel as the 8blade 52lb/min hx35. Both have the webbing for the MWE grooves. One has a 54mm inducer, the other 56mm.

Turbine wheel will fit right into the hx35 bolton housing. The blade tips have slightly different aero tech, advantage to the hx35. But again, in bolton form I've seen as much flow as a 50-trim puts out with that kind of h1c.

The problem is, the webbing is gone.

You could probably find another compressor cover for cheap though. I haven't looked, so I don't know for sure.

The O.P. asked if the turbo was a H1C, and I replied that it is. He also created an identical thread in the Newbie forum thinking he'd get more exposure, which is ALSO against forum rules....so maybe you should go ahead and heckle the O.P. instead of wasting my time by telling me how to do my job.

The O.P. should've had a better understanding of what he was buying before he purchased it. Obviously the way this thread is worded he bought the item and then started asking questions about it.

Another tip is to always attach pictures directly to the thread so future readers will be able to see what the hell you're talking about....that way in 30 days when the eBay link is dead this thread will not be a useless waste of server space.

If it has a MWE groove, then yes....if there is no MWE groove, then no.

I've only had a handful of H1C's pass through my shop over the years, and none had the MWE groove; however none were the Wastegated H1C so I'm not sure if the WH1C has a MWE groove or not. Perhaps someone running one could verify.

For what a new "face plate" (compressor cover?) would sell for you could probably buy another good, used H1C.

can i weld a circle on there it looks from the photos like he cut and sanded it off? would it not work to weld a pipe about 4.25 on there and it would be a highly modded stock one

no they are on for 30-40 bucks

I dont believe that h1c compressor housing will work. That one in the link looks like it goes to the small H1C. You need one that looks like the pic in post #15.

ahhh i see just wondering the compresser cover is made out of what? steel? looks that way.

it would make it alot easier to weld
