How good is an H1C?

I have a guy at my job that has an H1C that he wants to sell me for $100. My problem is that I'm not sure how good of a turbo it is. I have been told that they arent very good due to the webbing that's inside of them. I have also been told by other people that they are great turbos. I am currently running a Godspeed big 16g turbo and am looking for an upgrade. Just not sure if its really worth the money or not.

It depends. The little H1C would represent a small upgrade over your 16G, and not worth switching IMO. The big H1C is a much more capable turbo, it is basically a HX35 8 blade. Flow would be a little bit more than a MHI 20G. Compared to that godspeed turbo, it is night and day. If the turbo is in good shape, purchase. Big H1C on left, small H1C on right.

ok thanks for the help.

well talked to the guy he said it is in fact the big one and it was an intercooled turbo. so I will definitely be picking it up from him. according to him it doesnt have much shaft play if any

I know i will have to get a BEP housing, is it the same housing as the HX35?
