A friend of mine, is thinking in buying a galant with 2.4 engine. The engine has to be a dohc to fit into a 4g63 head right? Is it a direct swap? putting the head into the block and thats it? or it involves way more than that? I've searched but there's a lot of misinformation. Thanks in advance. :thumb:

Btw, the sohc and dohc 2.4 block is the same?

No the engine does not have to be a DOHC for the 4g63 head to fit. Just look at the 4g64 swaps from a GST Spyder. They are SOHC but it bolts on directly. Just need to fill some holes. As for it being a direct swap, what year Galant is it?
