I picked up a 4G64 6-bolt crank from a 1995 galant. the same yard has a 6-bolt 2.0 that was missing crank, but had the rods and pistons. Im wanting to build a street class time attack car. I was told i could use the 6-bolt rods and just get some wiseco pistons. question is if i do this, how long will these rods hold in the event of road racing/time attack? I'm looking at a maximum of 550 flywheel hp, and this cars never going to see over 7,300 RPM. I dont have a lot of money for the engine, there's much needed suspension thats taking most of my budget.
