If you go to my mods section youll see what I have in my ride. I'll have more than that by the end of the month.

ANyway my goal is to have my 14b upwards of 290- 300whp. My main focus is road racing not too much drag, ok, maybe occasianlly.

**Now on to my reasoning**

I was an SP in the airforce and all my glorious service got me was alot of travel and jacked up knees. I can drive stick no prob. I read the dif in pressure over stock for the 2100 was %27 - i can live with that. The 2600 was %57 inrcease, just the thought of that makes me tear up.

Being that i wont be putting too much torqe down at on etime by drag racing I should be fine with the clutch right?

The 2600 is not that bad of a pedal pressure. I have bad knees (drumming, two bass drums :p ) and it presents me no problems.

I know you SAY you are not going to get on it a lot. I said that once, too. In the long run the 2600 will be better ;) .

However, you do have other options besides ACT.

if you mean the flowmaster of pressure system or whatever the crap it is. I read baaaad stuff about that one.

Besides i'mjust going off what is tried and true at this point.
dont want to wast any mula$$$

The 2600 is your answer. Honest, the pedal pressure is not bad at all!

Unless you commute on jammed up highways, then it sucks :)

Ive torn 2 ligaments in my left knee and dont have any problems with the 2600. The 2100 feels almost like stock and has smoother disengagement. The 2600 will chatter and make the car shutter when disengaged sometimes.

but this chatter is normal right? and being that you live in richmond you know what traffic is like.

No one likes the 2100 huh.

Yes, and it is hell around here sometimes. Im not going to say all chatter but most that i have seen do chatter. Probably Caused from hot spots after doing viciuos awd launches. ;)

I like my 2100 and I will be replacing it with a new 2100 when I get my tranny back from shep. I just don't like the feel of the 2600 a few of my friends have them and there clutch pedals just feel really squishy. My 2100 is really smooth I was wondering if maybe they upgraded to a braided clutch line if it would help the pedal feel?

Yes, a braided clutch line will improve clutch feel. An ACT2600 puts enough pressure on the hydraulic line to stretch the stock rubber line, leading to a mushy feel.

If the stock clutch gives your knee pain, then the 2600 will be worse. Obviously it takes more force to push, but the pedal pressure is only about 35 to 45 pounds. Compare that with about 25 pounds for the stock clutch. Can your knee handle a 45 pound leg press?

I forgot to mention, I'm running braided line w/ no FCU. It helps A LOT.

There is also the feramic (not ceramic) alternative. I run the feramic disk in my car and it works great. It utilizes the stock pressure plate and is good for 1.8 or better 60s all night long. I personally have pulled 1.70 with it and I think Newb2dsm has pulled 1.69 with is. It's also allows you to keep the stock pedal pressure which is nice.

If you have more questions about it PM me.

ive had act 21 and 26 and would say 26 any day, the 21 just doesnt have what the 26 does. with the 26 it just feels better to do a pull or take off at a light knowing it will grab. the 21 I used always slipped after a summer of driving it. the pedal pressure is actully a good pressure once its broken in its not to stiff at all. but this is just what i think others could have another say in this.
