So this morning i check my oil i notice its thin and the oil smells like gas idk exactly how or why it does can someone help me out

Simple- you're feeding your car more fuel than it can burn. Unburnt fuel is passing the rings into the crankcase and contaminating the oil. Failure to correct this issue will ruin the engine in a very short period of time.

How many miles are on the engine. Like the above post gas is getting by the rings. The rings and cylinders walls will wear and ear over time. This is why engines need to be rebuilt over time whether it's a full blown build or just hone the cylinder walls and new rings.

it has 98k on it i just bought it 1 week or so ago for 4400 its a gst 4g63 engine i believe

Who knows- bad fuel pressure regulator, stuck injector....perhaps the oil hasn't been changed in 15k miles or something. Try changing the oil for now and see how long it takes to become drenched in fuel again. Use a good 10W30 with something like Lucas Oil Stabilizer to help protect against oil breakdown.

When you bought the car, did the previous owner say anything about and upgraded fuel system? Such as a larger fuel pump or injectors? It seems you are getting a typical case of oil wash which is caused by running rich. Even a simple narrowband O2 sensor would help you figure that out. Also, many dyno shops have a "sniffer" that they place in the exhaust pipe which can give you an accurate reading of the air to fuel ratio. I would start there and see what you can find out.

Oil wash can lead to serious engine problems down the road, but I wouldn't jump to a rebuild just yet. For now I would change the oil and continue to do so frequently until you figure out the cause.

Com'on, peeps! Somebody needs to ask if he's venting the CBV to atmosphere. That's how a majority of the Great Unwashed wash their cylinder walls.

I agree with above posts also. Start with the smaller things before you go straight into a major money spending rebuild. Pull the rail and see if larger injectors may have been installed. If u didn't get accurate information on what was done to the car just take your time and go over it with a fine tooth comb.

Well for what i know from the previous owner is that its completely stock and they had just changed the oil when i bought it but to be honest i think i got ####ed over by some scumbags and @jtmcinder i have no clue what a cbv even is

Is your blow off valve recirculated back into the intake pipe?

I would rebuild if your unsure of the engine, you never know whats going on in there. Lot of miles, check it out.

How about if the OP starts with a compression test to check the condition of the rings before yanking the engine out? ;)

Excessive blowby from an improperly vented crankcase will also contribute to your issue.

Im going to a shop today for a full diagnostics on it i hope its nothing big

So i went to the shop and they said its in perfect shape? what the?
They even did a compression test and it was perfect i guess
