Hello all!

So quick backstory: I bought this 1990 Eagle Talon TSI from a buddy, who bought it from some other dude before we deployed. When I purchased the car, my friend told me the guy he bought it from said it had forged internals as well as comp cams, but was unaware of what internals/cams they actually were. It's also a G4CS block with a 4G63 head. I know the pictures aren't the best but trust me I tried! I only need to know if these rods look stock or forged because if the stock g4Cs pistons were used, I would have some crazy 12:1 compression ratio. I honestly can't tell the difference though. On the end caps of the rods it is stamped 248. This is my first DSM and I can't seem to find a decent picture as to what stock rods in a G4CS look like. As for the cams, they are each stamped with EP4604, as well as D1. I also took pictures of those. Not sure if these look stock or aftermarket?

Any help and input is appreciated! Thank you!

they aren't manley (turbo tuff) rods.
manleys have a raised center on the rod caps.

They look like eagle rods I’ll try and upload a pic of mine I have a built 6 bolt block sitting in my living room LOL. What do u guys use to post pics won’t let me post from my phone
Awesome thanks guys! As for the cams I was told they should be stamped near the end of the cam on the timing side. Does this require removal of the cam gear? And biddy I’m not too sure about posting pics on the phone I used my computer! However, I’m replying on my phone now and just below where I am typing there are 4 options: insert quotes, post reply, add photos/files, and more options. Again I appreciate the help everyone

No not TT rods, well aware of that, just std manley rods. They're almost indistinguishable from eagle rods.

@Biddy420 just click the add files/attachments button by the reply window and choose from your gallery.

@Biddy420 depending on the phone you're using, you may have to change some permissions or settings to be able to upload directly from your gallery. I'm on an S7 and I can choose several options on where pics are loaded from.

For reference, this is what my option looks like when I click "add photos/files":

I’ll figure it out when I get my hands on a borrescope! As for the cams, I rotated them and on the shaft themselves were the numbers 101-101-8I on the intake cam. On the exhaust cam was 101-202-8E. A quick google search led me to a 251 intake cam and a 258 exhaust cam
