well i just picked up a set of JE pistons .020 for free. The damage on the pistons seems to be over heating or they hit the cylinder walls. only one piston is pretty bad the others dont have as much damage as the one. Im not 100% sure what it is but if you guy could help me out on how to tell more on which it would be that would be great thanks.

If they "hit the cylinder walls" you'll want to mic the skirts to see if they've collapsed. You'll also need to check the ring grooves to be sure they haven't been damaged and verify their dimensions. You'll also need to check the wrist pins for damage (or better yet just replace them) and also measure the ID of the pin bores.
