It's not an o-ring. Easiest thing is to just buy a new thermostat. Every thermostat I've bought has always come with one.

Might be what I need to do. Unless I can get the size bc I would rather keep the 170* stat if possible

Go to the auto parts store and ask for the gasket. I'm surprised they didn't ask you if you wanted it when you bought the thermostat.

Got it online and just assumed it came with it. Yea I guess I could just go and bring the stat. Wasn't sure they carried just the ring. Guess I'll find out thanks guys.

They do carry just the thermostat gasket or at least oreilly's does or should, can't remember for sure right now though, I just looked it up the other day. LOL

I work there, and they tend to come separate for most older vehicles, and they usually run about $.99.

Don't know the part number off the top of my head. LOL

Oreilly part number MCS2286. They do not come with any offered thermostats, but can be bought separately for $1.99.

Thank you very much

Duralast/Fel-Pro part number 35524, price is about $6 at Autozone or Advance Auto. There's also Beck Arnley part number 039-0104 at Advance.

Got what I needed from a local auto parts store. Gave them the felpro number and they had a generic one for $1, they wouldve had to order the felpro. Thanks man.
