Just a few questions about the above exhaust system, I am looking at this system because I have heard it in person and felt the improvment. So my questions are these, where can I find the turbo back system, and I have heard that aftermarket exhaust systems can cause turbo creep on stock setups, just wondering if this is true or not. I still have the stock T-25 and no BC.

Thanks in advance! :dsm:

If you eliminate the cat you will most likely get creep, especially with 3" tubing. I think I go mine from Nolimitmotorsports.com but I can't remember too well. Do a google search and it'll come up with a bunch and look over them for the cheapest offer.

Is it still a good system even with the creep? Just trying to decide if I want to go this way or Apexi N1 way.

its a very good system, and id say it sounds nicer then the apexi. the creep is mainly going to be caused by the downpipe/removal of cat. not really the catback. any 3 inch DP is gonna give you creep on a stock setup. what i did to eliminate boost creep is get a 2.5inch downpipe and 2.5 inch test pipe, and 3 inch catback from there. also i have a external dump tube on my o2 housing.

but anyway yeah get a R&D, but id say get a 2.5 DP, 3 inch catback

How would the creep be if I did the 3in turbo back with the highflow cat option instead of the test pipe?

Wasn't aware they made a turboback... I have their catback system and I love it. However, they're sold with a neckdown to accomodate the factory size cat/downpipe, which needs to be cut off and replaced with a 3" section and flange. That's the only downside to the system. Aside from that, I love the look, sound and quality. I'm using a 2.5" downpipe and cat. But I also have a Victory Performance tubular O2 housing and ported 16g turbo with larger flapper door, which is what is really responsible for helping reduce/eliminate boost creep.

The Thermal R&D is by far the best sounding exhaust i have ever heard on a DSM (i have personally heard Apexi, HKS, Greddy, and Buschur). Extreme Motorsports sell a 3" Extreme Motorsports (Stainless Steel) DP w/ a test pipe or hi-flow cat and thermal R&D cat-back ( they reweld it for a true 3")

Yup that is what I was talking about, with the cat. there would be less creep right? How much creep would it create, would it be enough to hurt my car?

I have the 3inch thermal/extreme turbo back on my car with the high-flow cat and have never had it creep on me. I am still running the t25. The system slides together in place and then seals with some ss clamps. I really don't think you can do any better than that for a true 3inch system wit cat.

Okay thanks, that is what I wanted to know, so well worth the money huh? I see the option with the cat is about $1100, pretty pricey but if it is worth then I will save...
