For the mods and looks, that is a killer deal! Id obviously do the usual buying a car stuff(drive, check leaks, etc) but if it checks out, jump on it! it would cost much more to duplicate that setup. That car has high 10sec potential on a good day if you push it to the limit

Another question for you guys is what price do you think i should pick it up for, the car. it is completely stock with just and upgraded clutch. It has 110,000 miles never seen a winter. it has a blown motor and has been sitting there for 4 years now! body has a few scrapes on the back and front bumper and the hood has a small chip on it. interior is perfect.

that depend on how well you know this person, the tranny can be all f**d up for all you know and there could be more problems...given that if it was me i would offer him maybe 2gs at most..but thats just me..

For the swap, read, read, read, learn as much as possible, label everything and then TAKE YOUR TIME WITH EVERYTHING, double check, then re-check...it wont be easy but it will be fun. :thumb:

As for the price, its hard to tell. A lot of things are unanswered.

If it were me, id offer him $1500 cash to get it out of his driveway.

Well that is pretty much an unmolested car. Basically all its got is intake and exhaust. And a 14b at 11 lbs. It looks very clean and to only have that many miles I would expect to pay a pretty penny.

Depends on who's buying! Your average joe isn't going to want to pay for your mods let alone know what they are for. Your going to be looking at NADA of about $5300, now if you find the right person you can probably move up anywhere from $6 to $6.5. Don't expect to much though the bad things about mods is that you'll never get them back out of our cars like you might expect.

A car is mainly worth what someone is willing to pay for it. It seems pretty unmolested so in that case if you find the right buyer they will pay a high price for it. I paid wayyyy to much for mine, but i was okay with that because it was exactly what i was looking for!

It depends purely on who you're selling it to. If you sell it to a dealership, you won't get better than $4500 for it as is according to Kelley's Blue Book (ish). If you sell it privately you can ask "reasonably" for $6500, but that doesn't mean that you'll get it in today's market, unless you're lucky. And DO NOT expect to get back what you put into it. That pretty much, never happens. Good Luck.

Stock emblems, just like black cars had purple emblems. haha Anyway on a good day and the right buyer you could ###### get around $6500.

95-96 GST (forgot to ask the year), Clean title, Current tags, 3 inch-turbo-back exhaust + stock if I want it, Odometer say 80,000 miles but the speedo was unplugged so mileage is unsure, 5-10k on the engine which was was imported(he said GVR-4 6-bolt)((He thinks head gasket leaks a little he said compression numbers where low)) with 30-50k miles or whatever it is they claim, Koni reds in the rear with a hundred miles and fronts in the trunk with 0, The tranny is blown, 5-spoke chromes and a 16G. What do you guys think its worth.

1,000 bucks if that. It has a bad tranny, maybe bad head gasket (could be something worse), with a mystery motor, and unknow mileage. Yeah I wouldnt give him no more then a 1,000 bucks

I would consider that price quite high. But then again I live in ohio(cold) and you seem to live in AZ(hot).

To put it in comparison I got a 1999 gst spyder, triple black, with 88k miles in ohio for 4,400.

Car was a 5 speed with a 9\10 body and a 8\10 interior.

It seems about right for the market here down south. Over here in Tx, the GST Spyders go for around 7k, so 5 and change is an alright deal if you ask me.

Word of advice though...

If you're not well versed in the cars, CALL A MECHANIC TO CHECK IT OUT! I've had 2 people try to jerk me around with DSMs down here. Luckily I knew enough to at least know what to look for. Just be careful and do your homework. CarFax is your friend.
