well ya im sorry, i never ment to state that it was ams car, just that the car in person is very nice and well worth it. mike is a very well knowledged dsmer him self so it is put togetther by the right person or people.

reason i say its a great car is if your into the dsm world or what ever you wana call it to mod your car and make it fast then you going to spend the money on these mods. y not spend less then what it would cost you to put all these mods on your own car. add up the mods then the car value and im sure it comes out to way more then 20g, and if you say the car losses value when modded then take 5g off the total and im sure it still higher.

Ain't this the dam truth. The people that were "fighting" with defiant should scroll to the top and notice what VAGUE information the poster of this thread supplied to the people who were to help him.

This is why we ask for detail. If you haven't noticed.
He could have said...

"Heres a link to the car (link) and the car was built by a good friend of AMS and it's really nice and just look at the pics and the mods and gimme your opinion"

Cliffs: Since more info was known about the car than given noone could give an accurate statement on its worth. Don't get all upset because someone says your car is worth LESS than you feel it is. It's not something to get heavily upset over.

Alright dude first of all im not the slightest bit upset. All that i meant by that is that it makes me worry because im about to pay a certain price and people are telling me its only worth half of that. Im not trying to be an ass hole to the people who were trying to help me out because i appreciate all of there replys. I just thought that with the information that i posted that someone could make a pretty good estimate on what its worth reguardless of who built it or how it looks, because i just wanted some kind of ballpark figure based on mods. I apologize to everyone who took this thread the wrong way.:thumb:

This car actually has a SC61 turbo on it. I guess if the purpose of this car was being a rather slow 16g or some sort simalar miget turbo powered car, then I guess stock engine would work just fine.

Defiant is right in some regards, and especially about the bearings on the chassis that are not getting any younger.

If I may ask what turbo are you running EvolvingGST???

still running my T25 right now... But in a month or two I will be running my T3/T4 50 trim from AGP. Right now my car is going in the shop next week to get a paint job and 97 bumper. I will also be putting in my FMIC during that time so I don't have to take off the bumper again. So yeah... can you guess what I am going to be driving like on the weekends? So like I said people who have power have it for a reason. And a properly tuned 16g could be quite quick as well.

Also as I can speak from experience from not even having a huge turbo yet... wear and tear on a 140k car is hard enough now to put more stress on those parts... or to have previously put them on.... Many people will tell you about axels and CV joints ect ect... more mentioned by Defiant. But the point is high power puts more strain on those normal wear and tear parts and that car isnt young.

im sorry but blah blah blah, no one cares what your going to have because thats what you wish you have. im going to buy a skyline in two weeks and this this and that. talk is cheap.

why would you even post about bigger turbos when your still on t25, ive used a 60 trim and now a 50 trim on my car with 124k miles and all is good, unless you have first hand exsperience please shut up and dont post anything it makes you sound dumb no offense.

if everyone would go to the link i posted with pics and all the info then that is the best we could do for mike and telling him what the price of the car is.

mike good luck i hope you buy it. :thumb:

So lemme get this straight. Bizzle calls out EvolvingGST on the first page of this thread about what turbo he's running and now you get upset with him responding... And then you tell him to shutup and that he sounds stupid but you mean no offense by it?

If a person dosen't have mods on their car that dosen't make them modification stupid. (read this twice if you don't understand it)

If you want to buy a skyline then that's great, we're happy for you. Please refer to your statement I highlighted in blue.

This thread is actually going nowhere quick. So I'll sum the thread up in a couple of sentences.

Cliffnotes:
User ask's our opinion on some car modifications but fails to mention the cars year/seller or any other valuable information that we could use to help determine the value. Seller gets upset because he feels we have lowballed his car, he replies and then goes at it with defiant and evolvinggst concerning a turbo and their knowledge of HIS CAR. Argument ends.

Sorry buddy but if you read the 2nd or third post i made it says 95 grey talon AWD but thanks for summing it up for us.:D

well this will be my last post in this thread about other things other then the car witch is being sold.

i stated that because you mods are always on here telling people that if they dont have first hand experience then dont post, would you go out and take advice from someone about driving if they have never drove before (no) all i stated was post things that you know first hand. im sorry for calling him dumb i should have said it diffrent.

i dont want a skyline i was just saying how easy it is to say what you going to get.

this thread is not about me trash talking anyone its about this car that is for sale.

errr maybe you are the most retarded individual I have ever met... When did I even say anything about the turbos and stuff like that? I said I would becareful buying a car that is modded and I said my car is old much like this one and wear and tear is on it is gonna happen. Maybe you read into that but thats all me and Defiant has said about it is becareful of wear and tear plus buying modded cars. If he wants to buy it then go ahead. Warnings were given. Nuff said.

You want to go on being big and bad but it makes you sound like an a$$ and retarded. Everyone can read my post and it has really said nothing about the turbos and such. You and first hand experience has nothing to do with sh*t.

My thing was I know if I was to mod my car I expect to use them to their full potential and anyone who mods their car that doesnt do that wouldnt mod their cars. Maybe you should learn to read before you write and sound like a jacka$$.

Have fun and buy the car if you really want it.

Thank you EvolvingGST for your reply's and im sorry that this thread turned into a big conflict cuz i didnt mean for that to happen.

It's all good man... To be honest get what you like... In the end its really what you want that is important. I just don't like that other dude making assumptions. Remember buying a used car is just as it is called the car is used. So me and Defiant like to tell you what to watch out for. Though sometimes it can be less tactful, we are in it for you... This is a brotherhood.

Get what you like if you spent 10 dollars on a car or 500000 dollars for a car it really wouldnt matter unless YOU like the car. It sounds like you really wanted the car... Don't post the question if I should get it if you love it, just buy it. We are always here to welcome you with open arms.

Alright bro thanks alot. Im sure some things are gonna break that im not planning for but i would rather them be suspension parts than engine parts because suspension parts are easier to diagnose and generally cheaper. Either way your right. Im probably gonna buy it and enjoy it either way.

Thanks again everyone.
Peace

I've had two high-mileage DSMs before the Eclipse I have now. You are looking at buying a car that a)goes fast, and b)is very old. Sure, a lot of engine, transmission, and suspension parts have been replaced, but it's still a car that rolled onto a lot in 1994 and has been driven since then. Just to put this in perspective, your price is nearly enough to purchase TWO brand-new Cavaliers - not quite, and why would you want one anyway - but that's a lot of cash. If I was going to pay that much for a car I'd want to be able to drive it for a couple years straight before it finally died. I don't know the car as closely as you guys do, but it'd be a miracle for a car pushing that much power to last that long. At least hang around for awhile and see how many other people are interested in the car at that price. I wouldn't imagine too many people would be. But like I said, I don't know the car.

So true.
This is definately a brotherhood of car owners. We will love your company weather you get a 1g/2g/2gnt/1gnt/vr4 or whatever else you could possibly get. I wasn't trying to be rude to anyone else that got into a "debate" with me about the car but like Evolve said if you love the car you should honestly not have to ask people about it. Unless to your knowledge something is wrong with it and in this case there dosen't seem to be anything wrong with it.

Take the dsm plunge and fall in love.

yeah thats true man. i just dont understand how if all those parts have been replaced what can go so terribly wrong with it that it wouldnt last more than a couple years and it would completely take a dump? Another thing i am curious about is if you were to buy this car would you spend the extra grand and get it with the ems tuned, or would you save a grand and buy it with stock ecu and afc?

too much money for that many miles.

his modlist is terrible and makes me worry very much about that car. honestly, wtf does t3/t4 mean? theres like a billion variations of that turbo. then he has a manifold which is a completely retarded first mod and no fuel anything. then he continues to list symborski shift bushings like its a mod or something. this guy clearly has modded this car as incorrectly as possible. my mom could mod a dsm better.

thank you.

btw, noone rebuilds a motor because they're bored. how rediclous.

Thanks for the reply, what would be a reasonable price for that car, or should I just not bother with it completly? I am just worried that chasiss parts and the transmissionwill start falling apart on me left right and center due to the mileage.
