Well if he has really done everything to it that he says then 3000 is a hell of a deal...i agree the headlights have gotta go tho haha...and yes there are plenty of easy exterior mods you can do without gettin too ricey....i say you spend your money on puttin some HP in it though :D

if it looks good to you. ild say go for it.
if your buddy got the motor/tranny rebuilt, he should have some kind of reciepts. also he should give you like a 3 week warranty er something on motor/tranny. tho 2,600 is a good price if all is good. ild look into it a bit more.
it shouldnt require alot of maitenence if its freshly rebuilt. but i guess you never know what lies ahead. if you take care of it, it should be alright.

my friend just sold his 95 tsi with a 99 eclipse front end, it had the same halo headlights... it looked good... i dont think halo's are ricey.... 80k BMW's have them?

HP is nice and I will put a lot of money into that, but I need to have my car looking good too!

Yes, but the $80,000 BMW's have HIGH QUALITY projector headlights that look great. Not cheap plastic ones that people like to slap on their ricer mobiles.

Im going to go check the car out in the morning. Ill grab you guys some more pictures and tell you how the ride was. If everything works out im going to buy it within 2-3 weeks! I <3 Uncle Sam.

$2600 is not a bad price. Those headlights are not ricey, that is if the color of the halos are not the blueish one, when the headlights are on, the halos are not too noticible, it's a good set for someone who wants to save from getting oems. I installed them for someone and the build was quite good, been a few months now and no condensation or leaking. Wired it so the halos turn on just with the parking lights, nice when it's dark but not too dark, like having DRL.

We'll I'll still not sure if I wanna go fwd or awd this time. I'm also still not sure if I want stock or modded either. Any input is welcome. I can get either for around the same price but last modded car I bought i ended up parting out :notgood:. I found this car on autotrader, take a look and pay attention to the interior, LOL. I emailed them and offered 5,500. The salesman said he'd talk to the manager Monday. What are your thought/opinions/ideas. Cars For Sale: Car Details - AutoTrader.com

That is....patriotic?? Look at the picture (first row third down)..its of the drivers side, the silver "blob?" is on the passenger side on the rear but in the rest of the pictures is visa versa...im confused

edit: oh nevermind its like a mirror image?

looks like you have of repainting to do:)

I would not get that car unless the first thing you're gonna do is repaint it and put the interior back to stock. 5,500 is not worth it. If you're planning on getting back into dsms I would say go all the way and get an AWD.

Yeah, I figured if I got it for 5,500 it'd be worth it. I'd have enough money left over and just have the panels all painted at a garage. Everytime I see the outside of the car it reminds me of Michael Jackson with his white spots all over. My wife calls it the MJ car. I'm kinda leaning towards a fwd for some reason. But an awd is more practical for where I live. I just noticed that hole in the front fender.....what is that? Almost looks like the filter?

95GST. straight panels, but needs paint. rough interior. 6 bolt swap(blown), extra head is included. HKS exhaust, and misc odds and ends. car is dismantled but is supposed to be all there.

$500 bucks. deal or no deal?

Sounds Good To Me Rebuild Her Paint Her And Sell Her And Make PROFIT and then Make rooms for future mods to your 97 Spyder

I see three options. Swapping in better aftermarket parts and selling what you don't need and keeping it as a parts car, OR take out that beautiful blown 6 bolt, rebuild it, swap whatever aftermarket parts you need, sell the rest and do a swap in the 97 GST, or dismantle the 97 GST and 95 GST, use the best aftermarket parts and sell what you don't need, fix the 6 bolt, sell the 97 GST.

I called the dealer up and offered them 5,500. They accepted it. Yesterday someone stole the radio and broke the piller but car is fine besides that. He said there are alot of performance parts on it. I'm nervous but for 5,500, its hard to pass up. Tell me your thoughts.

That thing got beat with the ricer stick :(
It's not too horribly bad until you see the interior.

But like said before, if you like it, go check it out. Personally, I like a clean factory looking car.
The only thing that should matter is what you like. Don't worry about everyone else. Everyone is going to have a different opinion.

It's to suck air in for the air filter. Doesn't look like a very effective way to do it, but what do I know. What a waste of a black leather interior too...

I wouldn't. I would like to hear what these "performance parts" are. Take it for a test drive and see how she feels. If it was me, the blue and red interior would be gone. The car would go from red/blotched silver to all red. The altezzas will be gone as well. But yeah, 5.5k for a GST with those miles isnt bad at all assuming the engine isn't as bad as the exterior.

Id say its worth it, just paint it all one color take off the stickers, paint the inside black, take the altezzas off take the stupid hood cow induction crap off and yea it will be a nice car..

performance parts=someone beat up on it already and usually ricers aren't the type of people to properly upkeep their cars( I mean, they heat up springs to drop it for god's sake!) so be very careful and I'd check the car over thoroughly..then if you buy it, change everything!
