, the 420a is just as capable as the 4g63. If you do all of the same mods as the 4g63, it takes them just as well. Neither engine is exactly bulletproof, but built well they can be. I still don't know why everyone thinks the 4g63 is faster...because your not getting the same mods for a 420a , they are different , your capable of squeezing out 175 maybe 200 horses outta them
You guys are all missing the point. This isn't another "should I buy an NA or turbo car" it's "should i buy THIS NA car". The car already needs body work, probably engine work, and probably a host of problems that have yet to be seen. Although $700 is a good price, you ultimately may pay several THOUSANDS just to get it to be a good looking, decently running DSM.
waste of time money, and more money If you want looks then ya it sounds like a good idea. But if you`re into speed and fon then hold out for a true dsm. my buddy bought a `97 gs not knowing anything about it. He eventually sold it for $3500 and picked up a `95 gs-t for about $2000. And everyone I've ever known that had a 420a car wished that they had bought a 4g63 car. just my 2 cents.
