Alright you talked me into it I was going to try and save a $100 but it sounds like it's money well spent. Thanks for your help. What you saying is that the sensor goes to the ECU and then to the guage so that you can log it on DSMLink and see it on the guage correct? What was the difficulty level of running the wires and gettin this all set up?

I dont have my wideband hooked to the ECU, i had no need to do it, but i know it can be done. It should be an easy instal , one or two wires the most. Get the ECU diagram, talk to people on the www.dsmlink.com/forums they will help you. Or you could just search on that site, there is a lot of question regarding this issue. Good luck

I found that I can get the AEM Uego for 250 off of EBay so I think I'm just going to go with that since it includes the guage and only cost 50 dollars more than the wire alone.
That is a good deal...AEM is a good product

Well I got the wideband now I have a guage with out a gauge pod so I'm going to purchase the one that you recommended earlier I just don' tknow what would be best to put in the empty slot didn't know if anyone had any ideas. Right now I have EGT, Boost, and oil pressure.

I had a couple ideas but hoping you guys could give your input. I was thinking maybe fuel pressure or water temp.

ok i have a grand to spend on my car i was thinking a 3inch turbo back from vrs or fuel kit from sbr but i have the 7bolt motor and i dont want to blow her up so what is some good parts to buy.

fuel pressure gauge you dont need inside. water temp gauge.... the car has that stock. wideband will allow you to tune your WOT fuel maps to there full potential. id reach for about 11.5 at wot. wideband is definitely worth every penny.

big 16G used 350.00 give or take
550 injectors 200 if you shop around
SAFCII 250 if you shop around
walboro 255lph fuel pump 90 if you shop around
down pipe 100 give or take
Manual Boost controller 50.00
iridium plugs 50.00 give or take

save up an extra 200 or so to get a safe tune. FROM A PRO. Dont install until you have everything, including a tuner locked on.

Start saving up for a logger, wideband, egt, new clutch, catback, brake upgrade, cams, stroker kit, well you probably get the idea by now.
Modding is fun, but it is a sickness, play around with it long enough and you will be terminal.

welcome to the sickness buddy.

What would you recommend putting in the other slot on the gauge pod. I have EGT, Oil pressure, Boost, and WB. This leaves one spot open what would you recommend putting in there?

air or water temp

3" turboback exhaust, 1g BOV, Intake, Boost gauge, and manual boost controller. All of these should be had for under $1000, and the reliability of your car will be about the same as before, but you will feel a decent increase in power. Next I would recommend a tuning device/logger.

As for the sickness evolveddsm is talking about, I'm definately terminal ROFL .

Have fun with it.

I'd say say turbo cat back 3" around $500, You have a CAI already, Greddy Type - S BOV, and def in the future a brake kit. The faster you car gets the faster you need to stop. I had the sickness for my last car and thats where all my money went. Let us know what you get

What do you have for mods right now? Is your car completely stock?

I agree with what was posted 2 above for the most part.

I would go 2.5" turboback for right now, a boost gauge, (with a pillar pod) and a Manual boost Controller and intake. Then, you'll need a better BOV.

I can do all of this for a good deal.

Including a VRS 2.5" Turboback
Vibrant intake adapter and Filter
SBR MBC
Autometer single Gauge Pod
Autometer 30-0-30 Boost Gauge
And an EVO MR BOV

Or you can send me a PM.

First off, don't worry about "blowing up" your engine because it's a 7-bolt. Worry about "blowing [it] up" because of too many bolt-ons before the car is ready for them.

If you C-walk, you do. No reason to be worried about it.

Second, don't use iridium. They've proven time and time again NOT to be of any benefit to our cars.

If your profile is correct, and you have the 16g, then yes, go 3" exhaust, rewire your fuel pump, get some bigger injectors, AFC, turn up the boost. If you get the exhaust for cheap, that could be around $1000.

Also, this is assuming of course you have all the other maintenance done... that already includes spark plugs, Vac. lines, etc.

Have fun.

Its not about funds my friend. Its about, "do it right the first time....dont bother later".

Just break up with your girlfriend for about one weekend and youre set..:thumb:

I got one of those off of ebay and there is a gap between the bezel trim and the glass/platic of the stock gauges, how is yours?

Does the AEM have any type of alarm/warning on the gauge? How big is the gauge? 52mm / 60mm?

is the vrs 3inch turbo back a good exhaust and is everything 3inch the downpipe and the o2 housting its 800 dollars on sbr i want 3inch so if any body has other suggests on brands that are good tell me.

I wouldn't do 3" just yet. You'll more then likely creep that way. I know of a few people running mid 11's on 2.5"s.

Give me a call though if your set on the 3" I can discuss pricing over PM or over the phone.

The o2 Eliminator is just a replacement o2 housing to go with your turboback exhaust. It flows very well, and is a nice peice for a mitsu housing turbo.
