Damn, I am doing the exact same thing.... although I have the evoIII 16g, 3" SS turbo back and a tubular o2 housing. 255lph with aeromotive FPR and 650cc injectors. I bought a 24x12x3 street imports intercooler when they had the groupbuy for 300$ shipped. Im about to put it all togather with DSMLINK. Trying to find a way to build the intercooler piping.... for less then 200$

DSMLink for 1G dsm's - dsmlink has a working copy of it for 1G's they said it will sell for slightly less than the 2G dsmlink. They hope to have it debugged and purchasable mid to late july of this year!

OH yea, my turboback - 450$ total and the ENTIRE thing has a 3 stage polish

You can definately get a FMIC for better than $800. I got one on EBAY for 660, w/ all the piping. The I/C and piping fit very well. Just look around. You can get a decent core for less than 300 bucks, and make your own piping. Here's a pic of mine installed.

I would go with RNR exhaust and there street core FMIC. I have never really liked RRE FMIC because the pipping is so long and the core is small. I have there exhaust and love it. I woudl also go with the 2600 because it will hold up longer if you drive aggresive. You would also say a ton of money if you just installled everything your self, plus you will gain alot of knowledge. Nothing on that list is that hard to install. Good luck.

if you have the means to make your own exhaust, do..its really easy on an awd and will save you a ton of cash...i dont have an opinion on the FMIC but the 2600 is definatly a must....youd regret the 2100 i think but youve already made that decision

The piping from the turbo outlet runs beside the radiator core support. The core is 2.75" thick, and coolant temps. are normal. You can also retain your pwr. steering cooler by running it behind the support in front of the radiator. Here's a couple pics of piping/ pipe routing.

H&R sport spring were made to work with koni yellows. They will be able to handle the spring rates and the low ride height, and it will handle great. You can get a set of four konis for around 500 sometimes a little less if you look hard.

ok i figure by the time i get back to school in august..ill have saved up about 2 G's.....thats my LIMIT....so i was thinkin i have two options....Performance or Looks...i dont wanna half ass one and half ass the other so im goin all out on one of the two....If i go the performance route, im willing to sell some stuff to get around 2,500 and get a turbo kit......if i go the Style route ill pry get some 18's w/ tires, springs n shocks or coilovers (to lower), new cat back, and two 10's and amp for all around 2,000(maybe more depending on coilovers and such)......i know its my car but what would u guys do?..im assuming most of u would say turbo the bi*** but remember i hardly ever street race (its all domestics out here) and i never go to the track....i just hate replacing broken stuff...any feedback would be awesome heres a pic

go for the Looks. 2500 wont be enuf for a turbo kit, well it would but youd run a very small amount of boost. You COULD build a custom kit, but i dont know.

Personally id go for looks though, for now.

i can get the stereo system real cheap...i already got one 1000 watt jL and can get another one and amp from a freind for 200 bucks....i already got a dvd/mp3/svcd blah blah blah player and 7" motorized LCD screen....ok so it feels like im goin more towards looks....anyone got any ideas what else i could do and maybe what kinda rims?...i love redturboeclipses's rims but i dont wanna copy him....(although i might ) ..anyone seen any sweet rims for black 2G's??

If you dont already know that you want to spend the $ on performance, then that is prob. a good sign that you should just throw in for some looks.

The looks route. For what you said about how you use the car, the turbo would be a waste. There are plenty of sweet rims out there for your car. Anything looks good on a black 2G, and no I'm not biased

ok lets say i spend $900-1000 on rims n tires.....i neeeeed a new exhuast so $300 on all new cat back and muffler (theres an exhaust shop right next door...im thinkin a magniflow what do u guys think?) ...so that leaves bout $700-800 for springs and shocks(lets leave stereo out of the price for now)...wats the best setup you guys have found for around this price? i have seen alot of ppl go eibach pro-kit and GR2...any help would be appreciated

full suspension with some nice rims...no body kits please. Car looks good as it sits IMO.

i wish i could go the "Sell POS/buy Turbo DSM" route but i really dont know of a cleaner and better shape eclipse around here....believe me ive searched everywhere and i didnt want a gst w/ 120,000 miles (50,000 of those were pry at WOT) as a daily driver...plus i couldnt find a black 99 5 speed anywhere....ok so i was lookin at some rims..what do u guys think is better of the two options i highlighted (keep price in mind) and what do u think of those rims?

Yea i agree, dont go for performance or body kit. Your car looks great on the outside already. If you already have the lcd Screen, you should go for a ps2 or something, just to accent it. nothing beat a couple of controllers coming out of the seats...

Do the inside, 2 grand can get you pretty much anywhere you want interior wise.

uggh ill never get a body kit... (shudders) ...no offence to ppl that have em but i love the clean 2g look.....i dont know bout pimpin my interior...its all leather flowing into black trim and it just looks soo classy right now...the lcd screen and brushed aluminum shifter is a nice compliment and not too overdone...i dont wanna stick much more in there i dont think (although an xbox hidden away would be nice).....i think slammin it against some 17's or 18's is def needed tho

I say lower it, nice rims and that front lip kit. I forget what its called but everyone knows what i am talking about. Your car will look 100X better, just make sure you do the rims and lowering at the same time because it will be a bigger visual difference/shocker.
