This type of thinking is why every nice DSM gets parted out.

Price is driven by demand. Clean/built 1g's are hard to find these days......hence the price is higher. Hell even KBB for low mileage 1gs is back up to $5500+ now.

It isn't a matter of being cheap, it is just being logical.
Most car enthusiasts know and understand they will never get back even close to what they put into a car.
