Feel free to kick me. I'm kicking myself even harder! After my big 16g install. 20psi consistant boost, no spike or creep. Tuned beautifully by myself, No knock, no fuel cut, no running engine LOL! Aint life grand!

Sort of off topic, but not really since we're talking about afc's and such, but do you still need the safc if you have the maf-t? is knock the only thing you can't monitor with the maf-t?

Stock injectors, 20psi on a 16g, leaning out an SAFC by blind tuning and looking for the dancing LED light to stay right in the middle at WOT....

......

Im not sure what else to say, just please NEVER touch that SAFC again; Before you even consider changing the settings from anything besides 0% across the board, read up on the tuning FAQ's and walk-thru's and buy a Logger and a wideband...

Trust me, sell that POS light show and with the $200 extra go and pick up a new or used Wideband, I use the AEM UEGO so I can see my A/F's at all times and tune on the fly...

I am glad you did not melt a piston or shoot a rod thru the block, so please understand how lucky you are and make sure you completely understand the concept of tuning and fuel setup/control before you drive the car again

Agreed. Blinky lights are for ricers.

I would just like to interject that it might be a good thing that you did have that "weak link" in your setup. If you had a better head gasket that held under the pressure, you might be rebuilding the bottom end like I am. :thumb: The motor came with the rolling chassis I bought and isn't mine. But DAMN, he snapped the rod in half and it shot thru the oil pan into the top of the transfer case. Detonation from hell. Insufficient tuning equipment on his part also, and no way to see knock. Sorry it happened, but it could be alot worse. Good luck on the rebuild.
