Hi guys just want to know what will be the effect of setting the base timing at it's proper BDTC which is 5*. why i ask this question is that my mechanic mistakenly timed it at 0*.
Can you tell me guys what will be the effect in each * difference. I already browse the thread and i only see that the timing should be set at 5* but didn't explain why? thanks.. anyways i have a goodfriend here in dubai who always help me. but just want to get your opinions.:)

Well, since it is lower than it is supposed to be I would say the only side effect is you will be down on power some.

huh? timing set at 5*? yeah i wanna know why you would set it off from 0*=T or BTDC? ### explain.

True, just a very slight loss of power being TDC with the ECU disabling terminal shorted to ground. Yet, with it running and not grounded, the pulley marks will be between TDC and 5*BTDC.

If you want to blind shoot it up to the *5 BTDC, is by loosening the CAS and slightly turn it clockwise about .050 of an inch and tighten the two nuts down. Then, that will get you more closer.

..that is if you got a CAS attached to the end of the EXH cam on the head....
