Alright guys, bit of a backstory. this is a 1991 Galant GSX that has had an auto 1g drivetrain swap, built trans and some motor work. I flew 2800 miles to get it, and drove it home(Crazy, I know, But it made it!) and have had no issues with it outside of this really odd misfire issue! Its a misfire/stumble that starts at 4-4500 ONLY IN BOOST and it stumbles so bad that it wont really accelerate much WOT. if you partial throttle it, it free revs and accelerates under VAC just fine. Mods are as follows:
piston/rod 6 bolt block
BSD
comp 101200
ECMLINK v3(more on this later)
Ebay 20g/fmic
PTE 880's
2G MAF.
In ECMLINK, I set up deadtimes correctly, calibrated wideband, got idle fuel trims dialed in(+/- 2%), and have done some mafcomp work, but cant do a whole lot WOT comp due to stumbling. I've noticed when datalogging the misfire/stumble, actual wideband AFR seems fine, but boostEST /WBfactor and AFRest, and fuel flow go crazy(fuel flow goes to almost zero then back up again during the stumble) and MAF fluctuates widly. Checked MAF voltage going to the MAF at harness and have voltage, triple checked wiring and connections and everything checks out okay. The following parts have been changed/checked without the stumbling going away:
Fuel pump(255)
FPR(not stock, adjustable with a B&M gauge on filter banjo, 37psi at idle with vac disconnected, increases with boost)
Fuel filter changed
Injectors changed(originally had evo 560's, 880's made no difference in the stumble)
Changed ECU to another eeprom, transferred over my v3 eeprom. No change.
CAS changed
CAS Wiring Checked
MAF changed for another 2g unit.
MAF wiring checked.
TPS Tested great and has no dead spots.
Coil packs changed/Both sets checked
Power transisitor changed/ checked
Plug wires changed/checked resistance
Plugs changed to BR7ES@ .020, no difference.
Short WOT log is attatched. Notice the extreme spiking/fluctuation of WBfactor, but actual AFR is okay. Can someone give me any insight to this? Thanks!
