Evan, don't modify your car anymore until you have a reputable aftermarket boost gauge installed properly in your car. Without being able to monitor your true boost level, you could be running way more than your current setup is able to handle.

As soon as you get your aftermarket boost gauge installed, do a boost leak test. Use the VFAQ article to help you, as well as the tech articles on here.

By the way, use rubber vacuum hose for the boost gauge, not the crappy nylon line that most gauges come with.

ok thanks guys i been looking in classifeds didnt no about them intill u guys said so haha >.> so i see people just selling the guage what "hardness" do i need or tubing to actully install one. thx

You dont really need a "harness" for most gauges. just a black wire and a red wire for power to light them up. Then just run the small vacuum line that comes with it from a good boost source on your engine to the gauge and voila.

also i been looking on the fourms how do i actully make a boost leak tester? i cant seem to find a thread or i just fail at useing the fourms

Then just run the small vacuum line that comes with it

I have to disagree. The white nylon line that comes with 99% of boost gauges out there tends to kink and crack with time. A much better option is to use a brass barbed fitting on the back of the gauge and using a standard length of rubber vacuum hose, just like all the other vacuum lines in the engine bay. It's easier to work with and will likely last longer.

I agree with you on that, as i have rubber vac lines from my charge pipes to my guage. I dont completely trust the nylon crap. But i do know plenty of people who use it without any problems.

dont waste ## money on a guage like that. save for a little bit and get an aem true boost. you WILL go wrong its electronic but it costs 279.00.. i have an autometer right now and they run for about 60.00 brand new
fixed

279 for a boost gauge :tease: sucker

Autometer is the only thing you need and is affordable.

And if you need help installing...
