OK, I did a little search and didn't come up with much of anything.

I'll be replacing my clutch this winter and I was originally just going to replace it with another ACT. But then I stumbled across the Fidanza clutches.

I'm not sure who is manufacturing them, but they look well built. They have four different kits available for us DSMers:

2.1 - Carbon Kevlar disc
3.2 - Kevlar disc
4.3 - Ceramic disc
5.4 - Sintered iron disc

From what I gathered, each kit uses the same 2300 pressure plate and each one uses a more aggressive friction material to gain more holding capacity. This is a much more efficient method than simply increasing the clamping force of the pressure plate.

These are very affordable, and I have them in stock here, so I'm really considering running the 4.3. If anyone has any input on the Fidanza clutches, or if you've been running one and have an opinion on it, please post in here.

Thanks in advance.

Well I have about 800 miles on mine. I cannot believe how light the pedal is. The only issue I have is bad clatter in 1st gear. Other then that I give it a thumbs up.

The 3.2 is a great clutch also. I haven't driven it for a few months now, but I'm missing how it feels when it grabs and the power just pushes me back in the seat. I can't wait for this spring.

Just did a pull. Man I love this clutch

v8s_are_slow

I think you would like this clutch

Well I just purchased another Spec stage 3 clutch cause it was cheaper and I've had pretty good luck with Spec thus far and kinda wanna make sure the Fidanza is a good clutch anyway. I've been the guienea pig more than I should've. And I figure that with a fwd car, the stage 3 will be more than enough for me anyway. I wouldn't mind trying the Fidanza but just not at the moment.

Just an update--clutch is fully broken in and holds what the car throws at it fine. It seems like the engagement characteristic really changed only after I made a WOT pull. The clutch still liked to chatter a little even after 500 miles of putting around, but after the first pull everything feels ridiculously....normal?

well im very glad you guys are having an awesome experience with your fidanza clutches but here is a pic of mine after 176 break in miles. i called maperformance and they gave me fidanza's number. fidanza has been nothing but help and has already sent me out a new clutch. here are the pics...

LOL pulling the transmission out of a 1st gen fwd is simple. try putting one in a 2nd gen! this will be the 4th time i pulled the transmission out of this car and will be the 6th clutch job i have done on 2nd gens in the last couple of months...

At about 33lbs the 4.3 will start to slip slightly unless you roll outta the hole..

At about 35lbs the 5.4 surprisingly grips it hard.. No slippage.. The clutch starts to stick to the fly alittle after about 6 runs consecutive runs.. But that was also on a mediocur (speeling not sure about) street.. Couple pot holes, and dips.. The track runs were fine.. did 8 all day, and no sticking at all..

And as to comparing them against others.. I'm sure theres better.. But there the first and probably only clutch i'll use in my DSM..

ALSO BTW.. THESE BOTH WERE IN FWD APPLICATIONS...

Were about to up the boost (and turbo sizing obviously) to about 50lbs if we can get the cars to hook.. And were so looking foward to putting the 5.4 through the use and abuse it deserves
