Well, I just got the car road worhty again. That was after replacing the trans ( Jack's Value stage rebuild) the transfer case ( Jack's rebuild) the front axles ( DSS upgraded) wheel bearings ( both). The car shifts smoothly and I won't really have any opinions on the trans until I can really drive the car....which will be a while.

As I was driving the car back, it threw the CEL. I got it home and found a nice oil and coolant mix in one of the spark plug wells...####!!! Well, I knew I would have to replace the motor, but I thought I would be able to drive it for at least and hour or so....

So, I am going to wax it really well and put it in stroage until I can heal up from this first round of replacements...I'd say repairs, but everything on the car so far has had to be replaced......:p

Oh, I also put a 3 inch exhaust on the car.....An Ebay downpipe and the E bay X Tune exhaust with an Evo 8 cat. It fit and looked better than I expected...sounds even better!!!

dude that stinks!!!! oh well at least you will have a ton of time to think about what motor you want. And it might not be that bad, i mean it could something as simple as a headgasket, but you wont know until you do a leakdown and a compression test.

No, that motor has serious issues...from oil leaks to the most dented oil pan I have ever seen. It probably has 200,000 miles on it. I am going the 6 bolt swap rout. I might keep the 2g head...but that is probably trashed too. I am not looking to make a lot of power. But, I am not going to half ass anything....if it is even questionable, I am replacing it. So far, everything has been trashed, so that make the decision pretty easy.

goodluck with the motor. 6bolts always a good move. eventually ill swap out my 7bolt to a 6 but mines been runnin excellent for now. great lookin car
