Does anybody use a test pipe instead of a cat? If so, did you notice a difference performance wise? Its easy to make so i will probably make one and figured id ask about it.
 
On a turbo car, the gains will be more obvious as any reduction in back pressure will translate to performance gains as the turbine wheel efficiency is increased. On naturally aspirated cars, the gains will be less negligible as exhaust back pressure isn't as much of an issue when it comes to performance.

You might want to check out this Turbo Exhaust Theory. It was written by a Garrett Turbo Engineer and has some pretty good information.
