temporary valve cover gasket

can i reuse the old gasket with some silicon to get a motor running long enough to check for knocks and a compression test? i'd hate to waste 30 dollars on a new one if the motor is junk.

Yeah, it wont leak right away. Use the black rtv though.

hey make sure you use a lot on the corners and if when the gasket does any 90degree or loops

i used the form a gasket worked like a charm till i got my set in off ebay
