Temp Gauge ...Whats wrong with it??

Recently my temp gauge has been acting up ... every morning when the engine has been sitting for at least 12 hours i turn the key to power the needle goes up the the first line on the gauge but when i strat the car it goes back to C and as the car gets warmer it kinda goes back and forth. And as i start driving the needle never gets into the middle like it used to ... i just dont know if its the thermostat , the gauge or some senser or something else ... thanks for the help

Possibly your temperature sender or its connector, more likely your thermostat. Replace the radiator cap at the same time.

Could be the waterpump, but not as likely.
