I have read some good things about TRE while doing searches but I have a specific question. My tranny is shot, leaking and lots of internal noise, not acceptable for a rebuild. TRE offers a rebuilt trannt with the 10% taller 5th gear for $2025. shipped. They also offer a NEW modified tranny. It has hubs and sleeves that will not shatter, improved oil passages, a new internal filter. They claim the gears, shafts are stress releived. It also icludes a new TO bearing, clutch fork and slave cylinder. This new tranny is $2550. shipped. Give an opinion and the reason why considering it's my $$$ you are playing with!! Thanks in advance. Mark
PS: I would like to order by weeks end.

This question doesn't make much sense. If you already are comfortable with the TRE quality, just pick one that you can afford. Unless you are doing anything serious, pick the tranny for less money.
