i just made the swap from my stock 2g tb to the 1g throttle body. i got the vaccuum routings from road race engineering. only thing is 98 and 99 turbo eclipses have only 2 vaccuum nipples on the top of the throttle body. it tells u how to route the vaccuum lines for proper egr and all that but only from the earlier throttle body, 95-97 which had i believe 3 or 4 vaccuum nipples on top to the 1g throttle body with 4 nipples. what it does not tell u is the proper routing for the later 2g throttle body setups which only had 2 vaccuum nipples to the 1g tb. this is how i have it..........

what used to go to A on my 2g throttle body now goes to A1 on the 1g throttle body. the angled nippled marked A2 i have capped off. E on the 1g tb is capped off also. and what used to go to E on my 2g throttle body now goes to P on the 1g throttle body. i know its a lil confusing but if anyone with the later style throttle bodys, 98 and 99 has done a 1g throttle body swap can u tell me how u routed the vacuum lines? thank you. :dsm:

ok i just adjusted my tps and throttle cable, those are all set. now i cant get my idle below 1,000 rpm even with the BISS all the way closed, and my vaccuum is at 19-20 in/hg. i think it has to do with the vac lines being routed wrong. anyone that has done this swap that can give me a bit of knowledge here?

check the throttle stop on the throttle body. When I got my 1g tb the throttle stop was screwed in too far so it was never actually closing far enough at idle giving me a high idle. Not sure about the vaccum lines .. I'd say have the line that went to A before go to A1 on the new throttle body, and have your 2nd line go to P. Cap off the other 2 nipples.

welp i just went out for a drive and a CEL came up. i looked it up with my trusty pocket logger and it said: P0505 : IDLE CONTROL SYSTEM

WTF!!!!!! i obviously reused my 2g TPS. and i also reused my 2g ISC. rre said u could use either one, 1g or 2g isc so i reused my 2g one cause i know its good. maybe i shoulkd try using the 1g one that came with the throttle body??????

and yes 1fast97gsx, thats how i have the vaccuum nipples going, like u said

Re-using your TPS is IAC is the proper method. I got the 505 at first too, a few times as a matter of fact, but after it was on there for a while the code stoped coming up. I also has to losen off my throttle cable a bit and screw the stopper out somewhat. I got it down to around 800-900rpm idle. I only pull 19in/hg max when the car is warm, so if your getting that much then thats good.
