TB and coolant hose question

can anyone tell me where these hoses connect to on a 1g (like it would be stock). the guy i bought my car from did this TB mod that relocated the coolant hoses somewhere else so the air that runs in it is "cooler" ... I HATE it ... my car almost never warms up in less than 60 degree weather. i want it back like stock ... HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :thumbdown

If your car isnt warming up then he took out the thermostat, or yours failed open.

Those lines have nothing to do with the temp your car will run at. Its for egt purposes to try and keep egts higher at idle. Really it probably doesnt raise the air intake temp more than a degree or 2.

When you say it doesnt heat up are you going by the gauge or the heater not working? Just a thought, but check your coolant level

coolant level is fine. the guage isn't hooked up ... i'm going with how jerky it is and the fact that the car only idle surges when it is cold. the guy that did the mod keeps talking about the coolant running through it acts as the opposite of an intercooler and raises the intake temp. he's an ase certified "master" mechanic and he's always right .... i don't know ... all i know is he did that mod to my bro's 91 gsx and it ran like crap ... my bro put it back like it was and back to normal.
