tb coolant

I personally used to run my TB without the lines. This was fine for the summer, but in the winter it caused problems with my throttle response, idling, and starting the vehicle. Many people, however, delete them and never suffer any ill results.

As for the overflow, why delete it? It's there for a good reason.

I've never heard of anyone removing the coolant lines from the tb. At least on a 1g...? It's nice to have an overflow even if it's just poweraid bottle. I suppose if you wanted to do away with an overflow you could just run your overflow hose down to the bottom of the engine compartment so it wont spew all over everything.

Deleting your overflow is a bad idea. The overflow is designed so that increased pressure when reaching operating temps will not make you loose coolant. It is pushed into the overflow, and once the excess pressure is relieved, capillary action will allow the system to draw coolant from the overflow bottle back into the cooling system.

Its there for a reason, you need some kind of a bottle, with a proper pickup tube that goes to/near the bottom.

Deleteing your coolant lines without first blocking the FIAV will allow excess air to bypass the throttle plate resulting in high and/or erratic idle.
