I can't figure out why my car won't turn over. Whenever I put the key in the ignition all the electronics work but when I try to crank the car nothing happens and everything was fine yesterday. I replaced the battery and battery terminals but still nothing. I also checked all the fuses. Is there anything else I should check besides the starter?

Does the starter click when you turn the key? If it does just tap the starter and it should start up, but also check the connections for the starter. That might be your issue. I had a new starter put in by the stealership a few years back and a month later i was having starting issues and it turns out they didn't snug the bolts down and one fell off and the other was about to fall off.

Thanks for the diagram and I will definitely check the starter relay and I gonna sound like a complete noob here but I can't find the starter on the car I jacked up the front but I don't see it. If someone can point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated.

Ok I got under the dash and I can hear the relay click as I try to crank the car but I still don't know excatly where the starter is on this thing.

Yeah I think I found it but it is really hard to get too. There is a wire hanging off of it with a white clip attached I think it is the ground wire for the starter if so then that is my problem. I'm gonna try to feel around and see if I can find out if the wire with the white clip on it slides back onto the starter.

I see two electrical connectors on the starter there is a black one that is still hooked up to the starter and there is a white one that is just hanging off I can't find out where to hook it back to the starter. Can anyone tell me excatly where the white electrical connector hooks on the starter?

Thanks for all the help guys but I found out my problem. I knew it wasn't the clutch safety switch because I had disconnected that awhile ago. The main power wire that goes to the starter had became loose I tightened it up and the car started right up. I guess that white electical connector on the starter that I was talking about is something extra maybe for another type of car or something either way it doesn't matter. I'm glad it wasn't the actual starter because that was gonna be a pain to change but thanks again for all the help.

Ok my problem has returned. I really want to get it fixed its kinda embarassing having to push start it everytime I stop somewhere. I plan on taking the starter to autozone and having it tested it has just been raining the past few days and I haven't had the time. I thought it was fixed because it always starts fine on cold starts but after it warms up and I drive it somewhere it won't start back up. Whenever it happens all the electronics work fine but when you turn the key to start the car nothing happens its like the starter isn't even there and I have to push start it to get it cranked. Is there anything I should be looking at besides the starter since it always starts fine on cold starts? Just wanna make sure its not a sensor or anything like that.

Ok I finally had the time to take the starter off and have it tested and it passed so that is not the problem. Any idea of what I should check next?

First step is to get the 1G electrical manual and your multimeter and start verifying that the starter signal from the ignition switch makes it to the starter solenoid. Given the problem and your starts checking out ok it would seem that it isn't. If you have a factory theft alarm or an aftermarket alarm you'll need to take that into consideration as your checking the circuit.
