i have search and searched for a week now! i cannot get this thing to start...

it is a 1995 talon tsi awg with a 6 bolt swap and a 16g turbo with 750cc injectors, i was driving the car the other day and it started running really really rought to the point where i couldnt even hit the gas till it finally died out and has yet to run since.

i replaced the alternator, battery, power transistor...i have fuel spark AND compression

the car cranks and cranks and cranks and tries to start but never fully fires up...im about to blow the car up and cut my losses already...im tired of working on it all day everyday and not being able to drive it:mad:

well i changed the alternator and i forgot to disconnect the negative terminal at first, i hit the block with a wrench and it sparked, i now have no fuel or spark but my ignition switch fuse is not blown? any ideas?

Check your 6-bolt CAS wiring, sounds like your not getting either fuel or spark. I would def try and figure out what your not getting to track down the cause.

the car ran fine and had fuel and spark up until the alternator grounded out...i dont think its the CAS

well it ran fine then died which led me to changing the alternator

anyone?

Check ALL your fuses with a test light. put the alligator clip on ground and probe both terminals of all the fuses in your car. if one side lights the light and the other doesn't, replace the fuse.

I just did this on an MR2 this guy's car wasn't charging, he replaced the alternator and it still wouldn't charge. the charge fuse was fine, but the "engine" fuse was not -problem solved.

If you grounded the main terminal on the alternator usually one of the larger main fuses blows like a 40 or 60 amp fuse.

Did you check your fuel pressure? if your fuel pump is on the way out or not getting enough voltage, low fuel pressure will make your car not start even though fuel comes out when you undo your fuel line.

my fuel pump is now kicking on and i have spark, i sprayed a plud with starting fluid and it tried to start...im at a complete loss yet again

oh and my boost gauge with the key in the on position reads 0 isnt that a sign of a problem?
