Talon paintjob on an Eclipse.

After getting my CF hood I noticed my car is missing something. I always liked the tuxedo style paintjob on Talons (top half black, bottom half a diff. color.) I have a red 2g Eclipse and wondering how you guys think it'd look?

I'd guess it will look like the red 2G Talons, although it will be awkward with your red spoiler. I think it will work if you delete your spoiler, otherwise it looks awkward no matter what color your spoiler is.

Yea, after thinking a little longer about it I thought about the spoiler dilemna. Maybe if I just took my spoiler off and put the Talon one on?

sounds like a good idea...but now that i think about it, theres a red 2g tsi around here with a high red spoiler and black roof and doesnt look weird

I do agree with the tuxedo look being nice but, that thing already sits very very very nicely as it is now.

if you had a white car, i would tell you to do the whole top of the car in black..and put SKUNK on your license plate...but wait..skunks are black with a white stripe..so you should put KNUKS. Of course the includes the rear hatch and all.. but yeah, leave your car red!

I believe that you should keep the top red man! It looks clean that way, and the price youd pay to paint the whole top ½, you could get a FMIC or at least an RSDSM lip.

Here's what my car looked like when I had my CF hood, before wheels and suspension though I think it should stay factory color on top.

Yeah you're car looks great as it is. I think a carbon fiber front lip would look really nice and would compliment the cf hood and black rims. Also you can't go wrong with a front mount, it gives you the best of both worlds. Plus it scares off the ricers too haha :laugh:

and yea man not a problem at all. ur car looks sick so i was more than happy to lend a hand.

when im finished with mine i hope it ends up look a lot like urs(cept with a 95-96 flare on it. like greyforest's)

oh yea and heres some food for though i think it looks good sence, ur pic was in the shade it looks a lil dark but just switch between that pic and then the real thing on that other forum and that should help u pick out what u wanna do.

In my humble OPINION, the kandy kolor over the CF does NOT look too good. unless your standing right next to it and can see that it really is a CF hood, it looks like you had your hood repainted but couldn't afford to have the shop match the color of your car. instead they just grabbed a spray can of burgandy and sprayed it on the hood of your red car.

driving down the road, if i saw that... that's what i'd think.

at least if it was the CF grey/blackish color, i'd know what it was. i say keep it CF only. besides, your black rims tie it all together then

(and yes, i know the pic is in the shade, but i saw the other thread too. that one looked mismatched as well. the sunlight won't help it that much)

Car looks amazing as it is. Give it a black anodized FMIC, and I think it would look untouchable. You're car is very classy right now. I'd keep it that way.
