hey guys,
Just wondering about what a good paint job runs, I'm going to get some estimate on some of the local shops around my area. And wanted some info from some of you with body kits and some body work( factory spoiler holes, the 3 piece one, and a few tiny dings on the doors). Any info will be thankfull

MOST real good paint jobs will cost around 1000 on up. these 300 or 400 dollar paint jobs are junk.
that 1000+ includes proper sanding, body filling, removal of all trim ect.

I say learn to do it yourself. It will cost about the price of a good paint job to start up if you dont have a big compressor and such but will be worth it many years to come. Check out www.Layitlow.com it is a Lowrider site with an AWESOME paint and body section. Most dont like sport compacts but still very helpful.

I have tried to do some of the body work myself, but I do not have the patients to sand. I tried with the factory spoiler holes and made a mess and bondo does not work if you don't know what you are doing. thanks for the replies guys :thumb:

with the spoiler holes you are supposed to weld up the holes then grind them and then apply body filler if needed. :thumb: I have a couple more webpages about paint your car yourself if you are interested.

For me it is a money thing, not to save money on a paint job. But to buy car with oxidized paint for cheap then repaint them and sell them.
