Talon - Custom Taillights, Grill, LED side markers

Here is my custom transformation to my taste. It's in the middle I still have a few tasteful things I want to do I'll keep people updated.

Sorry about the crappy pictures. iPhone + Night = sucky. But this isn't the finished good pictures anyways.

I dremeled out the Talon symbol and put black mesh behind it. I have an Evo IV intercooler which is very tall so the incoming air hits the top of the intercooler and of coarse hits the engine some. The tail lights are painted with VHT nightshades, around 6 medium coats were applied. The black center part where the license plate is was painted hyper white from pepboys, a good 12 coats to get any black streaks out. I searched all over an couldn't find this combination anywhere. I'm sure it must exist. I photoshopped the white to see how it would look. I made custom LED sidemarkers. I'll post better pictures and a "how to" in another post.

My friends have told my from the back on the highway it doesn't even look like a Talon anymore. It's got a flatter/lower look. Almost RX-7/Viperish look (all due respect it's not a viper).

We did the same with my buddy's Talon taillights on his 2G TSi AWD, although we stripped the black paint that originally comes on the T A L O N lettering with a scotchbrite pad and polished it to a mirror shine. What's left is all blacked-out taillights with bright orange Talon lettering. It looks damn sexy.

it's too bad the iphone cost that much yet doesn't come with a decent camera, nor a flash on it. also doesn't support stereo bluetooth, and can't even copy and paste, or send MMS.

but hey at least the tail lights look great! great scheme for a white talon.

Love the 2gb talon, IMHO best DSM aesthetically from the factory. Like your ideas and I like how the front emblem looks from a distance as well. Not feeling the tails though

The eclipse tail lights look good. The talons are an ugly ugly yellow and red contrast. I'll get some further away shots.. it really looks better if I show it next to an original picture.

Haven't seen another talon like it? It looks like a Talon, with a shit load of nightshade sprayed on the rear lights and filler. WTF

That's a pretty toolish post if you listen to your own writing.

VHT stuff is different than I thought. I tried and tried to get a thin more clear smoke look but no matter how thin the passes were you could still see uneven paint lines and light and dark areas. I'm good with a spray can. Maybe I didn't prep it enough.. I don't know. I ended up just spraying a bunch of pretty light coats to get it all dark. Pictures don't do it justice.

Oh and please.. find another Talon with VHT nightshades and the center lic. piece painted the same color as the car.. since this is so common to you. I couldn't find one but I'd love to see some other ones!! Post some pictures.

Havnt seen that done. Looks good, clean, and its different. White 2gb's always looks better with black acsents dont to it. Looks like you have done a few other custom things if im right the fmic looks like it came off an evo.

Yes it's an evo iv intercooler. I've heard people say it's a lot of mods to get it to fit. It bolted right on for me.

I just covered the top part of the tail lights with VHT. I left the bottom part alone and I don't think it looks bad at all. I wanted to give it a different look ya know.
