Talon convert to eclipse gsx

If you dont like the Talon style, sell the Talon whole and get an Eclipse. You can probably get more for the Talon than the eclipse would cost. Here are some production numbers for you. For S's and G's i threw Laser in there as well

Whoever owns this talon, could you tell me how you went about coloring your badges and front emblem? I've been wanting to do mine for awhile now, but haven't put much effort into finding a guide for it.

To the idiot calling others idiot because of their personal preference... The only time I think that Talons look better is when the eclipse it's being compared is sitting on chrome Saleen wheels with excessive negative camber.

Eclipse has a much cleaner look, and while the Talon has a more aggressive that doesn't mean it looks better. It's all personal preference. If you want a Talon then convert an eclipse to one. People are always bitching about how many people convert talons so with that in mind it shouldn't be hard to find the talon parts.

Not gonna read the entire thread but, OP if you want to convert, hmu. I want to convert my GSX to a Talon since its super rare to find a clean talon these days due to all the bs converts. I'll gladly trade you all parts.

Parts can be shipped via Greyhound. Parts would be Bumpers, tail lights, side skirts and wing. 97-98 Talons don't have Side skirts but they have the door trim that matches them to the bumpers.

To the idiots saying talons are ugly... seriously? What world do you live on? Your to say that flat body looks better than an aggressive body? All Generations Talons are much better looking due to the aggressive flare they put into the style.

I'm the type that says leave Talons, Talons. Leave Eclipse's, Eclipse's. Quit converting, if you want an Eclipse, buy a damn Eclipse. I would kill to find a clean Talon shell. Anyway thats my opinion, everyone has one. So don't boo hoo over what I say.



I've almost done this for a virgin 98 TSI AWD but couldn't get the funds in time. Love my GSX and wouldn't mind owning both. But would prefer a Talon. I agree with you, its to the point that you don't see them anymore because everyone converted. When you do find a talon, it looks like an eclipse.

I wanna do a Eclipse to Talon conversion. Not because I can't afford to sell my RS and buy a Talon. Because I have spent to much time and money making my RS look good and fixing the problems it had already. It is my first car and I baby it. It's name is Unicron. My Uncle was a old school transformer guy and I watched old transformer cartoons and saw Unicron and thought he was bad ass, therefore the name.

I wouldn't say Talon's are rare because there is still a decent amount of them left, but they are collectables.

I would prefer a Talon over an Eclipse now after seeing my boy's fix their Eclipse's / Talon's . ** Josh and Corey ** gang!

Trust me, I'm not at all jealous of a hella flush eclipse with chrome rims. If you want to start calling people idiots because their personal opinion doesn't match yours then I guess I should start subtracting an IQ point from you for every degree of negative camber you run; that doesn't even include the stretched tires. But what do I know... All that negative camber helps handling and doesn't effect tire wear at all...

Maybe it depends on the state. But where I live, the chances of seeing a Talon... well you'll see a 2g talon maybe once or twice a year unless you personally know the person. I've seen one this year in total, and its actually an Eclipse converted to a Talon. Couple talons pop up on Craigslist but are converted to Eclipse's with primered body panels. New Mexico sucks in general for nice cars. And when you do find one its rare, I got lucky finding my shell in its condition. Which most will say is not clean but when living here, its very clean.

IF someone wants to take my internet insult to heart, then you need to get off the internet. I just feel that the DSM Community is turning an already rare car into an extinct species. Like one guy posted above, soon every DSM will look like An eclipse due to everyone converted.... YAY! Not once person is different! Must be a good thing for the DSM Community to follow in everyone else's footsteps. 20% of the time I get hated on for what I did even tho 99% of the people who hate *Caugh* above^** Don't know what they are even talking about and just assume I did things I didn't. But everyone who's seen my car in person usually has an issue drewling over it. I like being different. I would rather own a nice Talon than a Nice Eclipse not only to be different, but because they are better looking. They aren't plain like eclipse's are.

Again, what excessive negative camber? Last time I checked, I don't have any excessive camber. Are your wheels not chrome? Eclipse's came stock with Chrome wheels as well so whats the problem?

Josh/Corey are my inspiration for getting this conversion going either towards the end of the year or starting next year due to low funds and in college.

Honestly I have not seen a Talon beside the one that works at Jiffy Lube in downtown San Diego. Other then that one, I have not seen one outside the junkyard/pull it yourself areas....

His car is red and black and it is so clean. It's a 97-98, I can tell from driving from a distance.

I swapped mine since it was never made as a talon and because out of the 40 1g's I have had 90% of them were talons. Talons are just better looking cars

To the open. I have a 96 talon I am about to convert to a gsx. Now if u want ill will drive to your house with the parts I have for the conversion and do it for you if I can have the gb talon parts. The gb talon is the best looking Dsm ever. I prefer a gb eclipse over a GA eclipse or talon though.
