Talon 2gb body style converted to 2gb eclipse with high rise

here some pics this took me 1 to 2 weeks including paint. I had to make templatest to know where to drill holes for the ground effects and i made templates to drill holes for the wing. I had to weld up the holes on the doors that held the previous talon body pieces. Im surprise it turn out this good!!!! enjoy. Now that you see it, its for sale, i will miss this one.

This is the first time I ever painted a car with real car paint too. This thing is FLY! I sprayed 4 coats of candy apple red, and 3 coats of clear coat. It took me from 3 pm to 11pm to spray.

You killed the best body... The 2gb Talon is a factory bodykit and is so aggressive looking. Not many are left, but there are too many Eclipses out there. What did you do with the bumpers?

I do still have them headlights tail lights everything. I think it looks much better as an eclipse, maybe just because im not use to the look. i have the wing as well. pm me.

yes. ill paint anybodies car if i get paid for it. i spent 2 weeks on just the body work. thats a lot of late nights too!

Should have just bought an eclipse. They are readily available against the falling numbers of Talons especially to the conversion...

As far as the how the car looks... I think you did a wonderful job on that paint!!

Haha, hey man! I'm looking to do the same project. AWD Talon Spyder! I've actually seen spyders with the 2gb Talon bumpers...its pretty sic. You can actually search for it on here.

WOW. Haha. Yea, I've already got the AWD swap down, now its time to get a Spyder and do the AWD 2gb Talon conversion to it, here I was thinking that I was the only one.

My ultimate build: start with a 2Gb Spyder GS, add 2Gb Talon bumpers and 2Ga Talon side skirts, build up the 4G64 with a DOHC swap, 156mm rods and stroker style pistons, add a Holset HE351VGT, then do a manual AWD driveline and tune it with a flashable plastic cased DSM ECU.

i have another talon that im going to put some of the parts on, i really dont want the 2gb talon parts, i have another 2ga talon that i want to take the parts off of to put on a turbo one i have.

Talon body styles are hard to sell. I bought the car needing a tcase for cheap, or else i would have got an eclipse. this is a 5 speed awd. And thanks the paint turned out better than i expected.

Talons look better than Eclipse's and every day more and more people ruin them.
That is why I say stop killing Talons.
One day we won't even be able to buy a Talon, we will have to buy Eclipse's and turn them back.

I have a 98 TSi AWD talon with the 2gb agressive kit OEM. I want to put a full blitz kit on mine. I was thinking of doing what you did, but figured just go with the common overused blitz style kit . I even hace that "RARE" burgundy color and all in perfect condition

Looks awesome, I think it needs the 2gb spoiler on it and different hood pins.

If I had a spyder, that's exactly what I would be doing as well.

Im surprised how many people like the talon body style, i dont like them at all. I guess it just not my thing, i dont like the flow of the bumper.

The lines on a Talon are so much more thought out. The ridge in the front bumper flows into the side molding, to the rear. The front bumper has a nice looking point to it from the right angle, makes it look very "claw (talon)" shaped.

There isn't a better looking DSM than a 2Gb Talon.

Personally if you had a 2GB Talon with the Talon high rise wing I would have kept it that way. I only really like the 2GB Eclipse style but those 2GB Talon's are growing on me.
