okay some of the bolts are stuck there 12 pint but only have 6 point sockets. and the allen wrench isnt helping at all there in ther too good.

i put pb blaster on it still did not budge...any ideas

I'd have some ideas if I knew what the #### you are saying.

Sounds like you are saying you don't have a 12 point socket and need one. And to that I would say go to O'reillys and get one. Or 12 point hex sockets, whatever you call them.

my bad my hands are full of oil and shit. but yea there 12 point nuts, but i only have 6 point sockets. im getting a new motor tomarrow so i dont have time to buy tools. so do you have any ideas. and the top is the 5 point allen wrench holes but i only have the 12 point hex sockets and regular allen wrenches, i dont have the allen wrench sockets.

If the head bolts are 12 point they'd be ARP studs so they'll be a little tighter.

Get the proper socket and do it properly so you can re-use them.

Do you have ARP studs or something? Because the OEM studs are just plain hex heads.

I doubt you will be able to loosen the studs without getting the nuts off first. So you will have to get a 12 point socket. That's the only thing I can say.

yea they are arp. it sucks because im trying to get this done but i only have half of them loose. the whole left side is stuck the 5 point sockets worked on half of them.

Just go get a 12 point socket. You can buy the one you need for like $5. Problem solved.

Do it in the early morning then. It's just that you might end up spending more time trying to figure something out than you will if you just go to the part store.

Snap On tools are good, but they aren't worth the outrageous price they charge. LOL

Yeah, but it's a $5 socket, that you will rarely use. So who really cares if it's snap on. I like Craftsmen better than snap on, just because I hate snap on ratchets. But I still have a few cheap sockets.

I like craftsman sockets too. The 12pt. will be well worth the money and you'll be surprised how often you will use it.

you are supposed to loosen them up from outside to inner. Just as you tighten center to outside in a specific pattern. It is possible to damage your head the way you are doing this. Use the correct tools and have someone who knows about engines to help you. That new block may not do you any good if you damage the head by not sequencing the bolts correctly on and off.

Yes im aware that you loosen the bolts from the outside in and tighten from the middle out. but i just loosened them a bit to see if they were stuck on or not... and yea i just got a 12 point socket set.

and i buy snap on because i get a 50% or more discount because in in an automotive program in college so i get good deals.

and slow child i posted it again here because that part of the forum is dead and your just running your mouth and not helping at all.

I see you still haven't fixed your capitalization issue despite two warnings- one verbal, one rule reminder.

Stop slandering those who have helped you.

Resolved, and closed due to obvious incompetence.
